SO... I AM IN THE HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW AND AM PRETTY SICK WITH COLITIS AND SEPSIS. I HAVE ALOT OF OTHER HEALTH CONDITIONS TOO AND CA NO LONGER TAKE CARE OF THE RATS. I AM HOPING TO GET OUT IN COUPLE OF DAYS. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO BREEDING. I DO STILL HAVE SOME GIRLS WHO NEED HOMES AND 4 BOYS. THE MAJORITY OF THESE RATS ARE VERY SWEET. THEY ARE VERY SWEET AND I CAN NOT KEEP THEM BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER DEVELOPED ASTHMA AFTER HAVING COVID AND IS HIGHLY ALLERGIC TO RATS SO HER LAST FEW VISITS TO MY HOME HAVE RESULTED IN HER BEING UNABLE TO BREATH AND HAVING TO USE HER INHALER AND SIT OUTSIDE UNTIL THE ASTHMA ATTACK ENDED SO SHE COULD LEAVE, I HAVE TO SHOWER AND PUT ON FRESHLY LAUNDERED CLOTHES BEFORE I CAN EVEN VISIT HER. HERE ARE MY ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: I have 4 basic requirements for adoptions: 1. a photo of the cage they will be living in along with the cage measurements and your assurance that the cage bar spacing is no more than half inch. Rats have floating rib cages so they can squeeze through narrow openings. A cage that is all metal on the outside is best as they can not chew out. Cages with horizontal bars are better than cages with vertical bars as rats love to climb so they use horizontal cage bars just like a ladder or jungle gym. Examples of great cages are the critter nation and the rat manor but both require a little customizing to make them perfect. 2. You must agree to feed them a good rat block like oxbow, mazuri, or kruses perfection as their primary diet. And supplement with rat safe treats like kale, peas, blueberries, carrots, plain cheerios, cooked chicken bones, etc. Many of the variety packaged rat foods contain a lot of nuts and seeds. While this type of food can be a fun treat, it isn’t a good daily food source as the rats will eat their favorites and leave the rest. This causes an unbalanced diet that leads to health problems like diabetes. Rats already have a pretty short life. 3. You must agree not to breed rats you adopt from me. When I decided to breed and started to research rat genetics and breeding, I was amazed to find how complicated it actually is and how much an ethical breeder needs to know. Additionally my lines are new and I do a lot more monitoring than breeding. Before I grant breeding rights I would need to have some in depth conversations with the person seeking those rights so that I know they really are experienced and knowledgeable. 4. I will not knowingly adopt out a rat to a lone rat situation. Rats are extremely social so they need rat friends as well as human friends, Studies show lone rats show signs of depression and over time become mentally unstable. did you know you can get fawn rats by breeding agouti to red eyed beige? Seems like I am averaging only 1 to 2 fawn per litter from this combination but I love my little strawberry blond babies. I got the information from afrma regarding how to get fawn.

Seal point siamese x black eyed siamese. Joey is a seal point siamese born 2/18/21. Cinderella is a black eyed siamese. I didn't breed her and the breeder I got her from wasn't sure of her birth date. I think she is probably about 8 months old. Their liiter was born 8-12-22. I don't know how many will be rehomed and am guessing I will wait until they are at least 8-10 weeks old so I can see how well their markings come in to help me pick which ones to keep to continue the line. I have another young black eyed siamese smooth coat boy to help with genetic diversity in the line but Joey is getting older and has really beautiful coloring so I chose him for this litter.
