R.I.P to the bestest girl💗
On July 10th at 2 PM Dixie was taken to the vet because she was not feeling well or acting like herself. Within the hour and a half it took for us to get seen at the urgent care vet Dixie was definitely out of it. With one look at her the vet new she needed more help than the regular vet could provide, so she called a local ER vet and told them we were on our way. Once we got to the vet we were taken back to a room and they took her back. After the time it took to get her stable, do blood work and do and ultrasound, Dixie went completely unresponsive. What the vet had found was an infection in her uterus, and we all knew her chance of surviving surgery (let alone through the night) was very slim. With that in mind we made the decision to let her pass peacefully with her family rather than on a table or in a vet kennel. Dixie passed July 10th at 9:15 PM. Thank you all for your support💗
