Well that’s a wrap on HOY 2024! What an awesome week.⭐️ I spontaneously decided to go, only a month out from HOY and it really paid off.

As Arrow and I are 4 or so months into our dressage journey, it was a big trip for us. He was absolutely perfect, trying his best in every test and coming consistently mid field each test against some very flash horses and riders!

We came 10th in our title class yesterday! I’m so proud of him, he is such a delight to compete and take anywhere, I truly feel like I won the lottery with his temperament and it was the most relaxing HOY I’ve had!

A HUGE thank you to Amy I couldn’t have done it without you. You are the best! Also a thank you to Tralee Butler, Arrows previous owner, it was so lovely catching up with you and Arrow looked happy to see you! And thank you to my amazing mum Jody Keon for lending me your float and all your gear, I don’t know where I would have been without my cold drinks after riding from the solar powered fridge 😂

What a weekend! ⭐️ Our first registered dressage show was Northland Dressage Champs and was my only chance to qualify for HOY and we did it on our first test of the weekend!
Arrow wasn’t feeling his best on Saturday placing 6th in his first test but today he felt fantastic coming home with a 3rd in the Super League Class and a 3rd in his other class! We are all qualified now and will be heading down to have a fun week and get some experience in a bigger atmosphere!

A 2nd and a 6th in classes of 20-25 people this weekend at Northland Dressage, and my best score yet 72.89%.

Excited for a chilled weekend at Leightons with my mumma and friends, for some fun camping with the horses and hacking!

Our second dressage show was another enjoyable day. We ended up winning out first test and a 3rd in our second test. Thank you Hakaru Pony Club for a fun day! 🥳💖

Our first dressage comp was heaps of fun. Arrow was a little superstar and even got a 5th and a 6th to top it off! 🎉

Arrow was an absolute gem today for his first show back! We haven’t done much jumping practice but he wasn’t phased at all and handled it like a champ.
It was nice to be back out! I’ve missed it 🥰

Two years ago this tall, dark and handsome man came into my life and made me a very happy girl. It’s crazy to think he was only 4 when I got him and now he’s growing into an absolute gem. He’s the easiest horse to have around, the sweetest and just such a loveable horse. I feel very lucky to be your person Arrow ❤️

I’ve had to make the hard decision to sell my boy Skipper 😢
I really love this boy with all my heart and truly want him to find a loving home that adores him as much as I do.
I’ve been undergoing some big life changes recently and I feel it’s time to downsize and that it’s now or never so has kindly taken my boy and will hopefully find him the home he deserves. What a weekend!
Arrow started off the weekend super well making it through the toughest meter he’s seen before with a few rails and there not being a single clear in the class. Today he wasn’t feeling his best and was a bit overwhelmed being with all the big kids and still learning.
Overall I was super proud of Arrow stepping up into the team last minute and we had a super fun weekend with the team.
Thanks to Fran for managing it and the awesome team I got to compete with bringing home 5th overall!!
A highlight of the weekend was seeing my old pony Maisy that I broke in taking out many placings and winning the first class of the weekend!
Well done you ride her beautifully!
And thanks to once again for braving the weather!
