Good morning!

Dr. Riveros will be unavailable for appointments 2/24/25 - 3/2/25.

Taylor, Dr. Riveros' office assistant, will still be available to answer phone calls/texts/emails, schedule future non-urgent appointments, and approve online prescription requests during our normal business hours (Monday-Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm).

If your pet is in need of an urgent appointment during this time please contact Canyon Country Animal Hospital, All Pets Center, Amigo Animal Clinic or another preferred animal hospital in the valley. If it is emergent and after hours, please contact Animal ER of the Western Slope at 970-525-0911.

Pluto came in today for x-rays but he can be a little grumpy sometimes. I’m a firm believer in making sure pets can remain comfortable and without anxiety during procedures. He received light sedation that allowed him to relax and take a nice snooooooozzeee and take the perfect pictures we needed.
X-rays (radiographs) expose your pet to different lights, sounds and we ask them to stay in a position that is not natural. Additionally, it exposes staff to radiation and so chemical restraint helps everybody!
