Information I received today from my veterinarian for anyone with rabbits……

“It has been brought to our attention that there have been some recent cases of Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) on the nearby islands off the coast of Washington. As this virus is spread by flies it is of concern that it could come here.”

This is our Luna....in this picture she is with a baby goat. Luna is obsessed with all the farm babies. She is only two and already the best livestock protector I could ask for.

The other night Luna and I woke up to alarming noises from the ducks and by the time we got to them, something had gone after the baby ducklings. Luna started chasing and managed to "save" a dead duckling. I meant to take it away but something quickly sidetracked me and I completely forgot about it. I went outside the next day and there she was, guarding it in the backyard - not eating it, just sitting with it.
