My Asti bracelet is wearing and I need a replacement to wear daily.
Ideally a necklace as I can't wear any other jewelry to work. Does anyone have or can recommend any remembrance jewelry?
I have her fur and I'd love to incorporate that.

For Asti's first birthday we chose a tree to plant on her grave.
Today I visited her and this fell into my hand. I like to think it was a little sign she's still with us.
It's looking beautiful.

We have a new puppy, he arrived Sunday and completes our little family.
We found out after getting him that he has a poorly heart and needs to see a specialist.
Dogs who need extra love seem to find us. This little man acts like any pup so we're hopeful he'll just need management rather than surgery.

It may sound daft but yesterday and today I'm convinced I've seen a little white dog out the corner of my eye. I like to think Asti is watching over her little brother.

Orla has been looking for a home for 2yrs. She's in a fabulous foster home but would love her own sofa with a special family.
She was a dream to groom and though she isn't a snuggly little dog, she enjoys being companionable and will choose to snooze nearby. I spent today grooming a whole pack of many tears rescue dogs.
Three are looking for homes and I'll pop their details up over the next few days.
Seeing so many ex breeders and puppy farm dogs was hard, no dog should ever go through what they have. They are all special and loving and trusting, despite what they've been through ❤❤

I was asked today about what helped me cope when Asti left us.
In all honesty, I'm not sure how well I did cope.
I kept busy. The photobook and canvas were ordered within an hour of getting her home, I wrote her blog.

I also wore her tiny collar as a bracelet until the colour began to run (purple dye on a white dog in the grooming salon!) & slept with her little pink jumper under my pillow. I still do the latter when I'm at home.

I still have a lock of fur. I'm not sure what I'll do with it, or when.

What methods have other people used to cope with the loss of a pet?

I can't imagine Asti old, she was never going to be suited to being slower and less able. The sentiment is the same, honour their life by caring for another ❤
