Used up some leave and took this week off, it’s been a very busy one!
I’ve been making some changes to my little fish room.
Started on Monday with six 3 foot tanks on one wall, I was kindly gifted some 6 foot tanks so Monday - stripped them down and moved the fish out.
Tuesday - built the new rack and drove to Bedfordshire to collect the tanks.
Wednesday - made another new rack because I’d made it too small 🤦🏻‍♂️
Then cleaned and re sealed the tanks.
Thursday - fitted the lights, painted and re routed the air feed pipe.
Friday - struggled to get them into place and filled them.
Hopefully today I’ll be moving some fish into them.
Couple of Looong days, back ache and a bit of stress but worth it 🙂

Thanks to Matt for gifting the tanks, to Russell Pugh for helping me move them and to the wife for putting up with my crazy hobby 😂

Slowly getting there with the fish room, two new 4’ tanks added next to the window, for safety the reverse was covered in reflective silver vinyl.

This weekends catch and strip session, Fainzilberi Lundo, Estherae Minos Reef from Mcat/O and first batch form the wild caught Xanstomachus Maleri OB female.

Being a Hobby keeper and breeder of Malawi Mbuna in Worcester and becoming frustrated by the apparent lack of others in Worcester and surrounding areas and poor availability of fish locally, I thought I’d set up a page to try and find other keepers of Malawi Cichlids locally.
