Still missing.. Please Help Sassy Come Home
*Last sighted in Henderson area*
Sassy went missing on June 25th at night time in Aurora, Ontario. Just South of Industrial and Yonge St, I saw her last on November 14th, 2019 at our old house in the same general area. I have not been able to catch her, trap her and haven’t seen her since that date ☹ ☹ She is definitely a stubborn little one.
This is Sassy, we have had her since she was a baby and oh my has she been Sassy since birth! She is now 3 years old and she has a bigger brother named Avalanche that she grew up with. She got out a window that was left open by accident on the night of June 25th in Aurora, Ontario. She is usually good with coming back when called but this time we did not have that same luck. We were in the midst of packing as we were moving into our new place at the time. The move was complete by August 1st and we had not seen her at all within the property. Our family is not complete without her, we ALL MISS HER! Her parents, her bigger brother, and all her family & friends! I made this page in hopes to spread the word more, have an easy place to keep constant communication, and to also share our story. Help Sassy Come Home
Thank you so much to everyone that has supported us along this search, in helping with advice, coming out for walks and drives, helping check the trap whenever set, helping out with flyers, sharing our post, etc. It has meant so much that people out there care in spreading the word and helping us find our baby girl. I don’t know where we would be without the support but thank you again as especially with every share, conversation or every post made about her is one step closer to hopefully having this girl back in my arms ❤
She is a black medium hair with a small white patch on her chest, green eyes. Not chipped, not fixed and was not wearing a collar the night she got out ☹
Sassy's Character traits: - she loves the outdoors – usually pretty good with coming back whenever she was out but we have not had the same luck with her this time. She usually eats like a bird (not all in one sitting and in small portions) - usually very vocal - when using litter box she spends a lot of time cleaning her paws more than i've seen other cats do she will just keep pawing her litter box until shes done- she likes to be dressed up in small sweaters sometimes when shes cold - loves to attack paper towel or toilet paper if she can – loves to play with boxes or bags - follows you around the minute you wake up everywhere and climbs or jumps to where possible to interact with you – will climb up to window sills, counter top, shelves, drawers – as soon as you are crying or even sad, she will come right over to you trying to cuddle into you, distracting you so you have no other choice but to hold her close and cuddle back, which in turn makes you feel 100% better - loves headbutt kisses - is good around dogs (bigger brother named avalanche - best friends) - reminds you of a squirrel, small max 10 pounds)
*******UPDATE**** she was recently sighted on October 17th, 2019 in Aurora just south of Yonge St and Industrial. We are asking anyone that knows anything to please get into contact with us ASAP. (416) 602-2480 DO NOT CHASE - SHE WILL RUN. If you do see her try to get her to come to you but do not approach her as she will also run. Please just try to keep her in the same area she was found in or just keep an eye on the direction she did go in so that we can follow up.
******UPDATE****** she was sighted on November 14th 2019 in Aurora at our old house, she was under the deck area. I guess since the cold weather had started she reverted back to the house. A trap and kitty tote have been placed at that location but no luck yet ☹ ☹ - I have not seen her since that night, but have noticed some tracks as that was how I found out she was hidden under the deck when I did go to our old house to check.
******UPDATE*****December - a woman had messaged me letting me know she had seen my flyer and noticed Sassy Behind mailboxes by the tree line in a subdivision entrance down the road as well as in her backyard, she had thought she was an outdoor car seeing how healthy she looked at the time she didn’t think anything of it until she saw my flyer but this was shortly before our big snow fall later that month.
*****UPDATE*****Jan 28 and 30th - she was sighted to be running around driveways and backyards in the Henderson area, she went up to one woman multiple times but got spooked off once she was close enough to her. Another woman had seen her come to her backyard one night looking to be digging around for some food.
Please We just want our baby to come back to us and complete our family again. Sassy has a home, family and friends that love her so much we just want our baby back home where she is missed and loved. If you have heard or seen anything please don’t hesitate to contact me at anytime! Please help us bring our Sassy back home!
Thank you.
