They met delightful Santa’s Elves, and three wonderful and engaging representatives from Rec & Parks.

Nail trim day, under vigorous protest! They all did great though, all things considered. 😉🐾🐾

I don’t think Chloe Samantha was too thrilled about Monday - a little late posting this.

Remembering my first wolf pack - Yoshi the Pom (2009-2020), my first dog, who I adopted two months after being diagnosed with cancer. He was my walking buddy after surgery. He was approximately 4 years old at adoption.
Then came Ninotchka, the Corgi mix (2011-2023), adopted at 6 months old. She was fierce, and loving and protective. She was also highly intelligent - she could have become a lost pet tracking dog if she hadn't been so darn fierce. 😏 She was my soul dog.
Then came this beautiful Pekingnese who lost his owner suddenly in 2014 - my love bug, Bruno (2012-2024). He was either 2 or 4 when he came to me, so, either 12 or 14 when he died 3 months ago.
I thought I had more time with him, but humans have no control over life and death matters.
He died suddenly - his little heart gave out at 4:30 a.m. on July 25, 2024 - I am glad I held him as he took his last breaths, even as we rushed to the ER in an futile attempt to buy more time.
My pleas and prayers to the heavens above fell on deaf ears.
Then, in 2018, Sydney, the Yorkie with lungs of steel, came to live with us. She was 15 years old. She was 17 when she died on September 19, 2019. She was my neighbor's dog, who battled an aggressive cancer for 2 years before he died.
I would walk all 4 pups - a neighbor dubbed them "the wolf pack" - all around the neighborhood.
They are all gone now, leaving me heartbroken each time.
I miss them, and think of them often.
And yes, I have three other dogs now: Benji (18, adopted at 15), Chloe (15, adopted at 14), and
Lil Man Marshall (7), adopted 2 and 1/2 months ago.
They are all rescues. I do believe giving a rescued dog a chance at a good life soothes a broken heart.
Until we all meet again one day.

Chloe Samantha this past Monday - she’s so adorable, and must always have the last word. 😊🐾🐾
Marshall’s marathon run - this is how he welcomes me home. He dies this mad dash in the house as well, so much joy that Mom is home from work. Bruno loved dashing up and down that ramp as well.

Bruno’s legacy of love, belly rubs, abd shenanigans. 🐾🐾
Marshall enjoyed the Tails on the Rails event organized by the B&O Railroad Museum, which included a train ride, several fabulous vendors, and a pet costume parade and contest.
