Enjoying the slightly warmer weather, at 34 degrees.

So good to see people lending a hand to humans and animals in the midst of the ravaging fires.

The impact on wildlife is equally staggering.

Yet, so many trying to help.

Another snowy day - Jan. 7, 2025

The morning of the first snow: “Awww, it’s so beautiful and soothing.”

Clean up: “Aaaah, this feels great”

“A walk? That will be lovely.”

More snow: “Darn it.”
More clearing so that the pups can go out, for the third time in the afternoon.

Followed by:
“Benji! Your coat!”
Benji can’t hear me - he is deaf, and though he is 18, he has the energy of a pup and runs out the door before I can put a coat on him. 😏

He needs a thorough drying once he comes back in. Wiggly creature.

Even more snow: 🛌

Marshall’s first snow in his new home, Chloe Samantha’s second and Benji’s fourth.

I miss Bruno’s gallivanting in the snow - he so loved it. Our first winter without him - Ninotchka and Bruno included in these precious, freezing moments.

Mr. Jealous Pants I have dubbed Lil Man Marshall.

He turned around and stopped heeding my calls after I held Benji for a while last night.

For about an hour he just ignored me, and wouldn’t turn around.

I thought it hilarious that he actually got upset -

Does he, like Bruno, get more attention than everyone else?

Er…who knows. 😏

What I do know is that everyone gets cuddles and kisses. That is particularly important for my Distinguished Gentleman, who is deaf and blind in one eye.

Benji sleeps so profoundly, he does not awake when everyone is ready to go out first thing in the morning, or at last call, late in the evening.

I wake him gently, so as not to startle him.

Did Bruno ever get jealous?

I think so - he wanted all the attention for himself. And he got tons of it.

They all do.

It reminds me of my uncle, my Dad’s younger brother. He would always ask my Grandmother, “Who do you love more?”

When she was at Keswick, at age 94, and her dementia was just starting to, he asked yet again, “Mom, who do you love more?”

Her response was hilarious:

“Neither one of you.”

She had had enough. 😉

The mini wolves enjoyed the Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony last night, December 4, 2024, in front of City Hall.

They met delightful Santa’s Elves, and three wonderful and engaging representatives from Rec & Parks.

Marshall even sang along with the children’s choir! 😊🐾🐾
