Cornish cross straight run meat bird ordering!

It’s getting close to my yearly order of meat birds. If you are interested in adding to the order, please let me know how many chicks.

The cost is $3.75 per bird and they will be vaccinated for Mereks and coccidiosis. If you order 25+ you can choose not to vaccinate and they will be about $3 per bird. They come from an NPIP tested broiler farm (including avian flu testing).

Let’s save on shipping by ordering together! Order deadline this Monday 7 pm, Shipping date 3/31, pick up date 4/2.

Friends and community mean everything to me. And even though Mary Sutton didn’t want a shout out for her amazingly selfless gesture of leaving me a present during my house flood nightmare, I feel that in this crazy world, it’s important to hear that there are amazing people doing amazing things, quietly behind the scenes. So, I vetoed her. She is awesome, she deserves recognition.

Life is busy on the farm, but I love getting it all fit in. The mud is back so Bella needed her mane in braids to keep it looking beautiful. Friday night with a headlamp and four wheeler lights was the time it fit the schedule.

Having a gray (aka white) horse is not a simple task to keep clean. A lot of people won’t even buy a grey horse due to the extra work. For some reason they LOVE mud, getting dirty, and being just a bit extra on all accounts of being messy (and die of cancer young but that’s another story).

She wears a blanket or sheet at all times, just to cut down on mud/brushing because she loves to roll in mud and p**p. She gets her mane braided and put up so it doesn’t get brittle and caked with mud during such muddy adventures. When her legs dry from coming in (here they are still wet) they get the thick mud brushed out.

So far, Lux keeps herself clean. The extreme dirtiness is totally a white horse thing.

So when you live through these seasons it’s always a toss up, frozen ground and freezing or warm and mud.. neither are easy. Drought weather is the easiest, probably my favorite, only because of modern convenience of water of course, which some parts of the country don’t get.

Who is excited to learn more about developing a successful Shopify store?

This year I hope to share more from my past career in marketing and development. Mainly, through how I use e-commerce to succeed.

Do you have a vet that you can call, text, and form a relationship with? I hope so, because it’s been so much better than a big practice for me on my horse journey. If you are missing that component in your current situation, you seriously need to meet Sophie at Acorn Equine Veterinary Service. She only sees horses, but if you have a horse and live near here, she is the best. She goes so far past the extra mile it’s amazing. Today I went to pick up some supplements and she left a present in the bag. Totally made my day. ❤️
