Sidolls stud
With our 2024 babies due dates getting closer, with the first one with only 100 or so days to go😁.
I thought I would prepare people of what is to come, nothing short of quality.
4 super heavy traditional gypsy cob mares,
And our first part bred mare which was our personal driving mare🥰

Our fabulous foundation mares that set the standard for our stock. Our fabulous stud never fails to impress us with the stock he throws and always out-produces himself.
If you’re stallion isn’t producing better stock than themselves, then in my opinion they’re not doing their job. Foals are said to be 80% of their dam, so a good mare is crucial👌🏽

The big man himself will be standing to a very limited number of mares for 2024 so book in now to avoid disappointment, a deposit will secure you’re slot🙌🏼✅

Coco come for breaking to ride, after being quite stubborn at home for her owners. She has been with us 2 weeks and 2 days so far, and is walk, trot and cantering under saddle.
Every horse is different and we can’t always give a set time frame for each horse as they are all different and get treated & trained individually to what suits them and their needs.
Coco was super quiet and had already been backed/sat on and lead around, but never had any ground work and always refused to move/go forward with someone on board.
Week 1 was mouthing and learning to lunge.
Week 2 was long reining and then getting a rider on.
Due to the groundwork being done correctly by time the rider was onboard she was already going forward and responding to voice from the ground work, so was happily and confidently walk, trot and cantering from the first ride.
Today was her 3rd ever ride and because she has been so good our 15year old jockey, Ruby, piloted her to see how she would be with a new/different rider, ready for when she goes home. Which she was super.
The owner doesn’t want any further schooling and just wanted the basics done ready for them to finsh her off themselves.
She will stay for the rest of the week to continue being ridden and then go home at the weekend, making it 3 weeks being with us.

Due to turning a couple of our youngsters out we now have a couple of free stables/slots for breaking in addition to the ones we currently have in.

Another fresh face that arrived today,
What a pretty boy he is😍
11.2hh 8yo gelding been ridden by children, hacked and jumped
Is a little bit riggy on the ground(very vocal)
He is on a registered green book
No lumps or bumps
Takes up the leg well, on the last picture the rider is 5’6

The big beautiful boy has found his 10⭐️ home and is staying with us on livery and getting some further schooling.
