Everyday we go around counting and checking on all our rescues that are grazing. Ensuring their water troughs are working as it's peak summer. While doing our rounds we are blessed with some amazing views of the grampians ♥️

Gayatri's is safe. We were so lucky to spot the cancer in Gayatri's third eyelid. Our Wonderful vet came and removed the cancer. Luckily cancer did not spread into her so her eye is safe.

We are so glad all went well. Gayatri came to us as a little calf. A by product of the dairy industry. The dairy industry separates 1 day old new born male calves from their mother's and discards them.

So dairy products carry the pain and suffering of thousands of animals in them. Gayatri on the other hand was lucky. She was brought to us with 5 other dairly calves by a human who worked in the dairy industry. They saw the suffering and torture of the mothers and calves and decided to save some calves as a way of redeaming themselves for working in the dairy industry. Well they certainly earned good karma by saving these bubs.

Meet Kali and meera two of our rescued sheep. They love cuddles and scratches like all animals. Sheep show a multitude of emotions ranging from love to jealousy.

Kali came to us is a very bad shape. She was emaciated and suffering from bottle jaw. She feared humans a lot but when she saw us caring for her and nurturing her back to health she started trusting us and today she is one of our most loving sheep.

Meera came to us as a little 1 day old orphan lamb. She has always been a spicy girl, hungry for attention. She is known to knock over her humans for treats and pellets. 🙂

Thank you we had a wonderful time at the market meeting new locals, catching up with old friends and raising money for our rescues.

Thank you Sarah for the 6am bread run, driving a 100km to deliver it. Thank you Hamilton for sponsoring the bread. And thank you Jo for being present in the scorching heat, supporting us all the way.

We are completely volunteer based and rely on them for everything. All the merchandise was handmade by our volunteers at the sanctuary.
