Dogs have a lot to tell us if we learn their langauge. Come join us to learn some basics on the seven dog body parts that tell us how they feel. How we can help dogs feel more comfortable and confident around people and the best way to greet a dog. (hint-it's not putting your hand in their face.)

I’m stepping WAY outside of my comfort zone to share this training story.

I learn so much from dogs, but today, a random human showed me the purest form of care for my work and my client’s dogs. I hope it moves you to see more magic.

We can always try to be our best selves to allow others the grace they need.

Join us at the Rogue Valley Mall to visit with and adopt kittens and cats from local feline rescue groups … all in one place!✨

11:00 am – 4:00 pm
ROGUE VALLEY MALL IN FRONT OF MACY’S LOWER-LEVEL INTERIOR ENTRANCE

It’s a partnership to help find purrfect homes for all felines in our community. Five cat rescue organizations are participating. That means you’ll be able to visit with up to 50 felines from around the Rogue Valley!

Kitten season has produced hundreds of unplanned litters. Non-profit feline rescue organizations and their dedicated volunteers have generously saved kittens throughout the Rogue Valley and raised them in foster homes. Many are now ready for adoption.

The Rogue Valley Mall is generously providing space (location to be announced) where there will be 50 kittens and cats available for adoption. All felines are friendly, vaccinated (initial doses), dewormed, spayed/neutered, and come with a microchip – a permanent form of ID.

The adoption fees are REDUCED to just $100 per feline, PLUS Friends of the Animals (FOTAS) will pay the 2nd adoption fee (2-Fur-1) if two cats/kittens are adopted together!

That means that FOTAS will be picking up the second adoption fee! You get two adorable cats or kitties to bring home for the price of one. It’s a GREAT deal and your new companions will be happier too! Adopt two kitties & get twice the snuggles!

Ample parking is available outside the old Bed and Bath. Take ground level entrance and walk towards Macy’s. The adoption event will be just before Macy’s on your left.

So much fun!! We had a blast visiting with all the dogs at the Happy Tails Festival at the Gold Hill Dog Park. We’ll be back next year. We highly recommend this great dog event.

As a graduate and a requirement to maintain my certified training partner status, I've signed the Karen Pryor Certified Training Partner Pledge to operate using ethical, no-fear, no-harm training standards, along with submitting a required number of continuing education credits.

I am always open to discussing my training methods, certifications, and personal beliefs about the importance of positive reinforcement training. I want to help people make informed decisions in the hopes of promoting the ethical treatment of animals. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I consider myself lucky to be able to work with FOTAS, Friends of the Animal Shelter, their gifted and loving volunteers, and the dogs at the Jackson County Animal Shelter.

I help work with many dogs after they’ve found their new humans. It especially warms my heart to see the progress made when these long-term shelter dogs get adopted into great homes. With a stable, loving, and dedicated home life, these dogs can discover their full potential. I’ve seen it over and over again.

If you feel like one of these three dogs could be a good fit for you, please visit the Jackson County Animal Shelter for a meet and greet.

I look forward to seeing these dogs go to fantastic homes with humans who are patient, caring, and ready to learn how they can support their new companions to a better life.

Food is a powerful reinforcer of behavior no matter the species.🐶 🐒 🐬🐐🦒🦦 Watch as this giant anteater from Zoo Miami learns to go in and out of a van from his enclosure.
