Aqha 4yr old 14.3ish stallion. He was suppose to be a gelding but he is a stallion. We do have his papers in hand. We purchased him to keep him from being sent to the kill pens. He did have a pretty bad cut on his back leg but it has healed really good and doesn’t seem to bother him. The vet didn’t see any reason that he would have problems with his leg from it. He is green broke to ride at this time. But we are continuing to work with him and he will only get better. He is a really sweet guy with tons of potential.. 🙂 Must find his forever farm. 💲1️⃣5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣

Daisy is a sweet mini pony. I believe she is under 40”. She is broke to ride and has been used in her pass as a party pony. My 5 year old has ridden her but daisy does best on a lead line. I’m sure with more consistency she will ride without the lead line just fine. I will try and get a picture tomorrow.

The mini I got my daughter last fall to ride was pregnant. She had a cute little c**t. He is a firecracker though. Lol. He is 5 months and can find his forever family now. Today was a farm vet visit day. All the horses were checked and doing good. Nothing medical found wrong just need to keep getting weight up. 😀😀. So glad that they all check health and whole. A few will need to get their teeth floated in the fall but over all a great visit.

Brownie is around 8yrs and 30”. She is super sweet. She is also said to be expose to a stud and she does have a nice belly but no guarantee on if she is pregnant. She rides and handles nicely. She is filling out well but can still use some top line. 💲9️⃣5️⃣0️⃣

Little mini mare duchess is looking for her forever family. It’s always hard to not be able to keep ever horse we rescue. But to be able to help another horse in danger we have to find homes for some of the ones we rescue.
Duchess came to us very skinny and when we bailed her from the kill lot they said she was exposed to a stud. I don’t know if she will have a baby or not. But there is that possibility. She is a nice girl and has done well with us. She is still a little unsure about coming right up to you but is never mean or anything. Just doesn’t usually come up to the fence yet. But considering what she has been threw I can’t really blame her.

If everyone remembers we helped in conjunction with the Arabian rescue group to save the two Arabian mares and baby who were very scared and unhandled. I just recieved an update on them and they are doing so good. Baby (Dallas) is halter broke and enjoys spending time with his people and walks around the yard. Momma (Joy) is already friendly and taking a saddle and everything. But no rides yet. Sister (Raya) who was the wildest of the group. Has come around and enjoys brushes and is haltered and making progress. No longer running as far away as she can from people. I just want to get people to realize that just because a horse might not have been handled doesn’t mean they can’t come around. If you get them safe and lovingly work with them they can become wonderful companions. We have worked with many horses that have been so scared but with love have gone from not letting anyone touch them. To letting us walk up to them and rub on them, put halters on, broke to ride, ect. I just love seeing this sweet boy learning how to work with Raya. Thank you to my sweet friend Rebecca and RoseAnne for taking on these projects and continuing with the work on this group. You might not be trained as a horse whisperer Rebecca but you really are a natural horse whisperer. ❤️❤️❤️

Due to the raising cost of everything these days and the many needs associated with rescue I’ve made a Amazon list of things that we need and use often. If you can’t adopt a horse maybe you would consider helping with purchasing supplies to help us continue helping to rescue. Every little bit of help is huge for us. We love to rescue and we love each horse we are able to help and get a good home for. This isn’t a cheap thing to do. This link has many supplies that we have to purchase over and over again. And some supplies that we just need to continue as we get more rescues and have had to add pastures/pens.

Adopted - Thank you Christenberry family for being willing to give this sweet girl a forever home and to keep helping her come back to her full glory. 🙂

Faya is a rescued mare who is believed to be a midteen. Not for sure on breed but think maybe some kind of saddlebred cross. She is green broke and hasn’t shown any buck or kick. My daughter has been working with her slowly as we also get her weight back on. She is still working on getting her weight but is a very sweet girl and the more riding she gets the better she will do. She is going to be a really nice riding mare with just a little more work. She loaded well when we picked her up. Needs to continue work on picking up her feet. Has been seen by the vet, 3way plus west Nile vaccine and wormed. Has a negative coggins.

Beautiful SweetPea is our only rescue left at this time needing her forever home. Sweet Pea is a really nice girl and will forever be great full being saved from slaughter. SweetPea is believed to be 18 and is around 15hh. She has tons of life left. She has been seen by the vet and cleared for light load riding. She does have arthritis and rides fine with my children. She isn’t on any meds at this time. She is still gaining her weight but doing wonderful. She does have a coggins, 3way + wnv and been wormed multiple times. She has been seen by the farrier and fine. The kill pen stated that she was used on a ranch for the kids to check fence. Rehoming as pasture pet…
We have over 1350 into her rescue. We have lowered her adoption to 4️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ in hopes she can find a wonderful forever home and we can look at saving some more wonderful horses from slaughter

Sandy is broke to ride and is a good mare. She was kicked by another horse leaving her with a knot on her front knee and no longer able to ride all day on the trails. She has shown no meanness, buck, bite or issues of that kind. She is a kind soul and likes to be loved on. Still gaining her weight.

Update: it looks like she caught rain rot we are treating.

Gracie is a quarter horse who came off a ranch and was headed to slaughter like ever other horse we have brought up. She is 11-13yrs and around 15hh. She is built strong. The ranch she came from was aqha registered horses but didn’t send her papers with her as she was slated for slaughter. The only thing noted on her is that she has some scar tissue on one hoof. Vet has looked at it and it isn’t affecting her joints and she moves as she should. Although Gracie was supposedly broke as a younger mare she will be adopted as not broke. We have been working on getting her friendly with humans after being left in the fields not handled for many years. Gracie is a beauty and only has a little more weight to gain to be at her perfect weight. Gracie has a very sweet temperament and will be a great companion. Has been seen by the farrier and did great.
She has a coggins, been wormed, 5way + wnv.

Annie is a palomino mare that is around 20yrs and 15hh. Annie is broke to ride but seems to have something going on in her back end. My littles have ridden her and did ok. This girl likes to go and is a nice size to make into a kids rodeo horse maybe.
She is a very pretty paint that is said to have been broke as a 2/3 yr old. Isn’t broke to ride at this time. She did ok getting saddled wouldn’t take the bit. She is now 7 and would need work to get back into riding. She is 14.3. She has been used only as a brood mare the last 3-4 yrs. I think she may have great potential as a 4h horse. She leads very well. If you put the time into her I think she would be great. She has seen the farrier, has coggins, wormed and a 3 way + west Nile vaccine.

Miss Lucy needs a good home
She is 17 this month. She is a super sweet girl and she is super big at 17hh. She did great with the farrier. She is broke and a pleasure to ride. Lucy has lots of personality. She does like her pasture mates. (buddy issue) She has shown no buck, bite or issues like that. She is great as a only horse as well. She does have a slightly crooked front hock and previous owner said she was cleared by a specialist as good for riding. She has been used as a trail horse and been camping.

Just wanting to give them a chance and love.

Adopting rescued horses is done on a as-is-bases with no guarantees. We do the best we can to find out info and list our observations. If you decided to adopt from the rescued horses we are not liable for any injuries or accidents or any other damage incurred by the adopted horse.

All horses should be quarantined for 30 days.

We do the best we can to get ferrier work done as soon as possible and to have a vet come check out each rescue. Due to scheduling it isn’t always possible to get these appointments quickly. As we never know when we will be rescuing horses and having them brought.

Our goal in doing this is to help give horses that have been thrown away a chance to have a real family. We will do our best to try and make sure that our horses are going to good homes. Adoption cost will be based on what we had to spend to save each horse. We aren’t looking to make 🥕🥕 but save horses.

As always it is very costly to save horses if you would like to help cover some of the costs it is always appreciated and helps us keep adoption cost down. We do have a PayPal pool in comments..

Angel - Adopted. Thank you Beckner family.

We have named this sweet girl in honor of everyone that came together to save her from being slaughtered. She is 20 and just had a baby pulled from her. She is nice but unsure of people at this time. Is said to have been broke to ride as a young horse but only used as a broodmares for the last 15yrs. Once she is caught she leads okay. She is a beautiful blue roan. Farrier was here yesterday and she did good other then her left back hoof. She has a cut on that leg and didn’t want it messed with. This picture is from before her farrier work. She is a project horse as I’m guessing she wasn’t treated very well previously.
She does have a coggins. Given a wormer and a 3way + wnv

Rider is a super sweet grade gelding that was rescued from the grave. He was skin and bones when he was saved. He has put on a ton of weight and is ready to find his own pasture. He has been wormed regularly and I gave a vaccine last week. He is a perfect lawn mower or teach your young children to ride kind of horse. No long trail rides. We were told that he is around 20 but after research and other opinions we think he is possible 10 or younger. This boy is dripping with sweetness. Great for the farrier..
