Mass Pate chopped is a go, I do this so the Dogs get a taste of different meats, due to allergys I don't use chicken but they have 7 other varieties in the mix, peanut loves the fish one the most x 😍

We're heating up, looking at the forecast for this upcoming week, it is looking very hot, due to this I may need to reduce 1 hour walk times to 30 min, all walks will be in shaded locations, and have lots of water accessible, most will have a paddling pool if the dogs would like it,

I will be monitoring the weather loads to determine what will happen, it will be shown on your next invoices with what we have done x

Please note some walks may be turned to garden visits or cancelled too, I just want to keep all your dogs safe in the weather x

Peanuts crufts collection, there was a few more treats /samples but she had some last night, and 1 tube of pate chopped up some frozen and some ready for training tonight 😁😁
SHE WILL BE SHARING WITH MEG

She also has some frozen bone broth arriving, some raw arriving next month and another new collar (the new biothane one from Trinkety-Paws is on the 2nd photo) then looking forward to her pretty leather Fancy Nancy Workshop collar for special occasions x

Also made a few business purchases of lots of dog wipes, a tiny first aid kit that I will carry on all walks and few shampoo free samples for the stinky moments once the mud daddy is fixed🤣

Hi All, please take the time to read this and share if you wish to x

As some may know this Wednesday (21st February) a dog, who was supposed to be being looked after by a "Boarder from Rover" in our village, got out within 1h of her being dropped off, but with all the amazing help from generous people in our village and surrounding taking their time out their day/night, numerous sightings, the amazing guys from Drone SAR And the drone ranger coming out late night into the morning, then more sightings, she was caught on Thursday 22nd February and reunited with her owners. Who are hugely thankful to everyone who has helped and can't thank everyone enough x💝🐶

From a personal point of view it was devastating what had happened but incredible how everyone worked together to help find her and I am soo glad she is home with her family safe and sound with lots of cuddles. We are soo lucky to live in this village where if something happens there are always people who are willing to help x❤️

However from a business point of view I am left a little annoyed, dissapointed and upset about how this has occurred as I witnessed it happening and helped the whole way through people have seen me post to facebook straight away, I have met people who have assumed it was me who had lost the dog as I advetise I am a petsitter and dog walker within the area very close to where the dog was lost from,😔 please be rest assured it was not me x💖

Online there are sites people can use to find what they like to call pet professionals, Rover, Trusted house sitters, borrow my doggy, just to name a few, after looking at these sites I am seeing soo many people offering the services without insurance, pet first aid and most importantly for boarding, a license.

These sites look soo legit and official that people don't question them twice, the people who sign up to offer services have some fine print in terms and conditions to check if they require a licence from their local council but it still allows unlicensed boarders onto their site with no checks at all. Which to me is incredibly scary.

So If you are looking for a Boarder, pet sitter or dog walker,
Please Please Please message as we have a list of licensed boarders in our local area, and can recommend petsitters or dogwalkers if I am not available myself ,

Or ask who you are looking into,
Are you insured? (ask to see their insurance)
Are you licensed? (ask to see their licence)
Are you DBS Checked ?
Are you Canine First Aid Trained?

All these questions can and should be able to be answered if they say "rover (or other website) covers it" it is likely they are not covered at all x Ask as many questions as you would like x

Please keep your pets safe, if anyone had any questions on the event that occurred I am more than happy to answer what I can x As for the "boarder" they are being reported to hopefully stop this happening again.

I really hope no one has to go through what these owners have been through ever again x

Made it to 4 Human years of buisness 28 Dog Years 🤣 thank you to all you lovely people who have supported me and all the pups for being soo amazing !!!! Its been tough at times but seeing the happy faces of the dogs make it worth every second ❤️🐶🐶🐶🐶

**PLEASE READ**

It's still about spreading like wild fire,
If you notice your dog "coughing" or showing any other signs
Please let me know prior to walks/ as soon as you notice,

What to do if they have KC?

Please let me know ASAP
Walks will be cancelled
They will require to be off for 21 days after symptoms end, so please also notify me when symptoms end and I will start a 21 day countdown

What happens if they were in contact with a dog with KC?

Unfortunately this happens, if your dog has been in contact with a dog with kennel cough they will be required to have 14 days off walks before as this is the incubation period, if they start showing symptoms then let me know and follow the 21 days clear x
If they were in contact on my walks I will let you know as soon as I know,
If you know a dog outside of our walks that your dog has been with with kc Please Let Me know ASAP x

If I know a dog has been in the van with KC ALL bedding and van will be cleaned before the next walks x

So Please Read This Post Carefully

Unfortunately due to the cost of everything I am brining my overnight prices up, I have been keeping them as low as possible for you all but now it's time to be inline with what others in our area charge, hope I can answer afew questions people ask,

What is Pet Sitting?
I come into your home to look after your pets for whilst you are away keeping them in their known safe environment where they can relax and you can relax knowing your house is also safe too x

What does your pet get for your money?
Your pet has all its needs met food, fresh water lots of cuddles, at least 1 Walk per day, if they are fit and fit in with others they can come out with group walks in the day if there is space, if there is not space or your pup doesn't get on with groups they will be left but have at least 1 lunch time visit(their walk will either be in the morning or evening in this case). In the evenings either we relax, do some fun basic training or go on adventures x Then we go to sleep overnight and the pets can be wherever they are used to in their everyday with you (YES this can be on the bed 😆)

What I need from you?
When Booking in I will REQUIRE a 25% NON REFUNDABLE deposit per booking over 2 nights.
Each pet must be able to settle alone within their home for minimum of 4h so I am able to continue to walk my regular clients x

If you have PREVIOUSLY messaged me please send a message with the dates and I will see if I have them available,

Due to having new pup I won't be booking in as many per Month as I don't want to be leaving her for weeks and weeks at a time.
It is 1st come 1st serve there is only 1 of me 😁x

Love these of little Peanut Poser the newest addition to Mad as Hatters x She is now 10 Weeks old settling in amazingly soo confident and loves her days out in the van to see everyone's pups she is looking forward to being able to walk with them soon x

Hi Everyone,

If I am walking your dogs, I will NOT be walking them on a flexi lead they are unreliable and quite dangerous, very painful when it burns, *got another injury from one,
Also if they are dropped the dogs can spook as it bangs!

If they appear on one i will put them on my own leads!

IT'S GETTING CLOSER!!!!!
Got some new boots at the ready will wear in closer to the time so I don't wear them out 🤣

For anyone who doesn't know, I am taking part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge for Jerry Green with a group of my dog mad friends, this is a 24 mile walk up and down 3 peaks, it's definitely going to be a challenge as it'll be very different from a day's walking x

It's Summer!!!
And as this week is showing us its getting very hot,
With your dogs as top priority, I will be reducing 1h Walks down to 30 Minutes, all group walks will be in the cooler shaded woods, I will have a big supply of cold fresh water with me, and a paddling pool for any dogs that wish to cool off, afew walks may change to a garden enrichment playtime if it gets too hot to go out,

I am aiming to keep the van as cool as possible with a silversheet going on everytime the van is parked, along with some fans on the cages x

Also Just a reminder I am off work for next week 17th to 25th x

Having seen people drive with an unrestrained pup on their knee whilst driving it is essential to share this!

ALL pets must be suitability restrained. This can be with a harness and seat belt, dog guard for your boot or crates,
When with me all dogs travel individually in a crate each with an individual coded lock on the outside door and if any incident was to happen I have each crate fitted with emergency doors on the inside which don't require a code so all pets can be accessed very quickly if needed x

If using a seat belt please use a suitable harness and not just attach to the collar x

Please keep your pups safe traveling x

I can't believe how much mad ad hatters has grown! Can't possibly thank everyone enough for everything xx had some rocky moments but met loads of awsome people and some superstar dogs, cats, fish, chickens, Geese, horses, gecko, rabbits, Giant african snails, frogs, fat tailed gerbil, guineapigs, bearded dragons, snakes, cocroaches, giant and rainbow millipedes, tortoises, vinegaroon, stick insects, leaf insects, skink.......... anyone going to add to this list ?? 🦒?????
