One of this year’s highlights was the fish expedition brought by . It is a great chance to see a lot of different species in their natural habitat. The video was filmed in a lagoon on an island in the middle of a main river. You can see plenty of species, like tetras, headstanders, pikes and other cichlids. It is always interesting to see patches where multiple fish species concentrate while other spaces appear empty. If you want to do an expedition like this, contact and join the 2025 expedition in Brazil’s Amazonas. PS. Who can tell me the cichlid at the end of the third video? You need a keen eye for that one ; ), but we have a lot of experts for that.

They have over a year of quarantine, have been dewormed, and are entirely used to eating quality dry food from .international. As you can see, she has a keen eye for beauty. Very interesting fish that we have in stock. Happhaestus Habbemai, known as Mountain Grunter. These are active and staring to take dry food (carnivore) from .international. So far, they seem ok and not aggressive with any tank mate that is not seen as food (small enough to fit their mouths). They max out around ~7”, so a great size for a lot of tank sizes. During our fish expedition in the Amazonas with about a month ago, we could find three types of fish in almost every biotope that we looked. These type of fish were Festivums, Geophagus, and Severums. That tells us, in part, how successful these species are in the Amazonas and other river systems.
