Is this the most beautiful 3yr old mare ever..? First trip out in the truck to the gallops for this stunner By Cascari, and she took it all in her stride. Definitely an exciting one for the future for Karl Rainy.

First time being ridden away in an arena today for this gorgeous big gelding By Baltimore. I think it’ll be an exciting few weeks now watching this boy learning to jump and making his show debut

Are you ready for some time in the sun? Want to book that holiday but worried about leaving your horse? We do holiday livery here in Co Antrim.

This is Obi, a young c**t By Cormint, out of a Beachball/Lancelot mare. He’s been with us for a few weeks handling and care while his owners are enjoying the sun in the Maldives. He’s ready to go home now for a well earned holiday and he has all the foundations in place to help with the breaking process.

Another good week with a lot of progression for the horses here at Yellowfield stables.

🥂 Ruby (Beachball) had her first arena hire and first jumps under saddle
🥂 Ginger (Corporal VDL) and Jolly (14.3 Connie) both had a rider under for the first time
🥂 Diva (Colman) and Obi (Cormint) are now on the long reins.
🥂 Brownie went to her first show
🥂 Jessica and Pippy were back in the ring jumping for the first time in many months.

We are loving being back out and about with the horses and the babies are all working well at home ready to join in on our trips soon. Another good week of progress with plenty of firsts:

🏆 Ruby (by Beachball) had her first time in the arena
🏆 Buddha (by Piece of Cake) jumped his first course of jumps
🏆 Ginger (by Corporal Vdl) and Jolly (14.2 Connemara) both had a saddle introduced.
🏆 Brownie had her first ride with another horse and her just time being ridden by her lovely owner.
🏆 Jessica and Niamh jumped their first proper course together- Jessica just loves Thursdays

Busy first day back at work for the truck- gallops this morning with breakers, and Leigh-Anne Rea arena hire this afternoon with brownie for a flat work session, first ever course for Buddha and the cobwebs blown away for Jessica & pippy.

Happy new year to all of our supporters from the whole team here at yellowfield stables.

2023 may have been a year of constant rain and a couple of unplanned dismounts leading to some time off. However, we have had some awesome horses pass through the stables. Thanks to all our wonderful owners, both the long term ones and all the new ones we met in 2023.

Here’s to an exciting 2024 - we’ll do it all again, only bigger and better 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Very proud of this young mare by Creevagh Ferro, out of a touchdown mare.

She was very nervous and knew nothing when she arrived and now she’s loving life and accepting the work. From untouched to wearing full breaking tack and trusting us. 🥰🥰

A very successful first trip away from home for baby horses, Buddha and Brownie, to the gallops. Both horses behaved great and had enjoyed their first jump under saddle.

Pippy and Jess weren’t happy at idea of truck going out without them so they had a spin around gallops too to keep them happy.

Currently jumping 1.10 with endless scope to keep moving up the classes. Has previously hunted. No stable vices. Good to catch and load etc. hacks alone and in company.

Great day schooling at Portmore. Pippy jumped a fab round, the short break after balmoral did her the world of good.
New rides, Ellie and Chilli, didn’t disappoint at their first show either. Jumping super in the 1.10 and the 1.20
