Meet Turbo, a 1 year old male Dutch/Rex mix rabbit! This guy was rescued from the Riverside Animal Shelter during the fires a few months ago. When we rescued him, our volunteers could tell he had been through so much with a healing burn on his right hip. After about a month at the rescue, he began to loose hair which was believed to be due to the stressful kennel environment. We put a plea with our foster network and a fostered stepped up to take him in for about a month. He went from lethargic and shy to thriving and sweet! As he got more comfortable, his hair began to regrow and he started to show affection. His foster noted that he is completely litter box trained and enjoys his veggie treats so much and gets so excited to receive them! He would even cuddle up next to her and enjoy some head scratches. With time and TLC he’ll be the best rabbit for your family! Come check him out!!

We have so many rabbits who are looking for their forever homes, so if you have been considering opening your home to an animal in need but aren't quite ready for a huge commitment, please consider a rabbit.

💔Meet Parker. He is a 20-25 year old Quarter horse that was found as a stray in Compton, Ca. Currently at the Baldwin Park shelter. His story just broke our hearts.😥

We are trying to get the word out as much as we can....if you guys know of a specific horse rescue that can help please tag them below.

He was found as a stray in Compton, emaciated, and with a growth on his genitals...he had to have his urinary tract moved so that he urinates out the rear area much like a mare.

He also has an infection on his two back hooves that the shelter has been treating.

“Since arriving at the shelter he has put on a few hundred pounds looks great, his hooves are in better shape, however he has deep thrush in his two rear hooves and in his two front he has Canker. Not sure if you are familiar with canker but it is a bacterial infection that can be difficult to cure. He only has a little in the front right but his left has a portion that is very painful for him when touched at all. Canker is contracted from being in a wet area for a long period of time,, he was covered in dirt clods that were painful to remove and that took time.”

We clearly are not a horse rescue but we would love to help this boy out as much as we can!

He has been at the shelter for over a month now. Everyone who has reached out to the shelter about Parker has not scheduled a meet after hearing his medical.

One day there were two little turtles that fit in the palm of your hand, floating down an aqueduct. A man fishing there thought hmmm, that’s odd! He swooped them up, and then those lucky turtles found their home. Unfortunately Wilfred’s family was not able to keep him due too certain circumstances, so this guy is ready for his forever home. He really is so cute! Just a quirky turtle, and loves to be where the action is! He doesn’t wanna be in a room tucked in back, he wants to be where his people are.
If you are interested in Wilfred, I make sure you leave me with EVERYTHING you need, and ANYTHING you need to know. I want it to be an exciting experience for Wilfred snd his potential family! I hope W***y finds his forever home soon! A lot of rescues absolutely won’t take in water turtles such as red ears. There are just too many out there, too many being bred and sold, and too many people dumping them and deciding they don’t want them because of their lack of knowledge and research upon buying them.

Foster Journey #8: The Bunnies (Dec. 2020)
Christmas with bunnies! I've always wanted a bunny and Stephen had a super special bunny when we started dating (he was our bunny expert), so we were happy to help out this adorable pair. Since we began fostering them around Christmas time, the kids named them Mr. Grinch and Cindy Lou Who. It was so fun to cuddle super soft bunnies, but boy o boy, Mr. Grinch was a BIG boy. We helped them both through recovery of getting fixed, enjoyed outside time with them, a were lucky enough to wish them a Merry Christmas with carrots. These two beauties were adopted by a wonderful couple, ready to love them forever.

I am a former class pet and now that school is online, they gave me away. I’m super friendly but a little scared because I’m in a new environment but I’m super sweet.

Abbey- 2 year old female American Guinea Pig. I was surrendered because they didn’t have time for me and were moving out of state. I’m a little skittish but otherwise I’m a great little pig!

🐰Roger Rabbit🐰
This sweet boy was dumped at a fellow rescuers home in a box. His foster mom reports that he is litter box trained and ok with being free roam for most of the day. He is very social with people and other animals, he is a cuddler! He enjoys spending time with his feline foster siblings. Need a house bunny during this time? Well Roger would be perfect!
