Nice clutch from my OG pair—a superconda het albino female and albinoconda het axanthic male. 16 good eggs (on the lower end for her, but she’s getting old—as a matter of fact, I’m retiring her!) with her usual set of twins. She *always* throws at least one set of twins.
Little known fact: snakes and cats are similar in that if I fits, I sits. Pictured: keeper male extreme red albino anaconda possible het lavender from
It’s been a minute; been busy! What have we been up to? Well…a lot. Reptile-wise, got some hognose eggs (details will be coming about pairings and what not); some corn snake eggs (most babies have gone already!); some ball python eggs (bc why not everyone else does 😜). Tried and failed with the woma pythons, currently pairing Egyptian egg eaters and false water cobras! Here’s some of those eggs (spoiler, many have hatched!) more info will be coming from us soon!
This doesn’t look like much, but this humble clutch of eggs represents 5 years of experimental husbandry, research, and work! This is my first clutch of Egyptian egg eating snake eggs from a pair other than the ones I’ve been pairing successfully for the last 3 years—which means my breeding protocols are reproducible!! As a man trained in the sciences, I’m nerding out!
Been a while since I’ve done anything here. Honestly, the season has been s**t. Not a single viable egg. That’s just breeding for you—sometimes you crush it, sometimes you don’t. Which is all good, because I’m always looking for ways to expand the collection to offer more variety, with a focus on the weird stuff! Here’s a calabar burrowing python (Calabaria reinhardtii) I just picked up showing how similar her head and tail look to confuse predators into attacking the wrong end. Very cool underrated species I look forward to working with.
Happy Easter! Come visit us at in Apopka today!
Come see us this weekend!
Welcome to the candy shop! How new snakes are made: add equal parts boy and girl and hope one doesn’t eat the other/one knows how to put it down. Axanthic conda het toffee male x albino conda het toffee female.
🧟♂️ mode activated! Young female 💯 het leucistic from we’re growing up! Thanks man, she’s doing great!
Here’s something kind of cool I’ve never seen before. Both of these eggs were eaten by baby egg-eating snakes, but one was too big for the snake to successfully fully collapse it—but it did successfully suck the contents out anyway!
Not often I get a picture with the falsie! She’s a beast pushing 7’ or so and is my snake shed garbage can lol.
We’ll see you there!
Kind of a new project around here, but clearly headed in the right direction. Cuban false chameleon (Anolus barbatus).

AAA (arctic albino anaconda) female looking 🔥 after her shed.
Always great to send the babies to new homes! These two were from a couple weeks ago, just been slow with posting 😅.
One of my favorite species of all time, the tentacled snake (Erpeton tentaculatum) is a fully aquatic species native to Southeast Asia. The on their face are mechanoreceptors that detect the movement of fish—even in murky water! There’s too much cool to cover in one post, so I’ll be sure to get more Erpeton content moving forward. This male of mine has been in my care since 2017.
One week out! We’ll be there, come visit us!
Couple animals sent out to their new homes yesterday, including my first shipment to 🇨🇦. Your support makes this all possible, thank you so much!

Daytona may be in the rear view, but there’s still a lot of work to be done here at . Today, one of our adult female Egyptian egg eaters gifted us with this clutch, including her first ever slug (it’s her 5th clutch lifetime!). Threw in the pen cap for size reference. These guys are to work with!

Here’s a two minute rundown of three 2023 pairings. The first, a superconda het albino x arctic het albino, has a goal of arctic albino anaconda (AAA) babies. The second pairing should produce snows and axanthic het snows. The last pairing has a goal of candy (toffee belly superconda), but will throw some nice double het snow at the very least. Here’s a fun video! This is my adult female false water cobra (Hydrodynastes gigas) having brinner! It’s been about a year since I last offered her quail eggs, so I figured why not offer again! They’re great enrichment that’s a bit more stimulating than her usual offerings of mice, rats, chicks, quail, and hamsters.
