Meet Snowie

Snowie is a gorgeous gal up for adoption through 2nd Chance Rescue Kitties (Sacramento, California). She is about 10 years old and was born to a feral mom, then abandoned by mom at eight weeks old. They were taken in and raised indoors by a loving family until circumstances changed and they were surrendered to 2nd Chance Rescue Kitties.

Snowie has had her teeth removed years ago due to dental disease and is doing great. She was diagnosed as diabetic in August 2020 and started insulin treatment. She needs it twice a day and is very easy to inject. Just put some treats in front of her and while she is munching, give her the shot. Snowie doesn't put up any resistance or fuss.

Snowie is a serious task master, keeping the humans on track for her morning medication, snack time, evening medication, and bedtime snack. She is a sweet and spunky senior. She likes her small stuffed toys and will carry them in her mouth while howling to show you what a great hunter she is to have captured these pesky toys. Not too much of a lap cat but loves to sit next to people. She adores being brushed and loves wet food. She needs her own space to eat because she will leave if other cats come into her space while eating.

Snowie might be ok with calm older children, and calm dogs, but the hyper shepherd she stays away from. Snowie will let you know when things aren't up to her standards with a few stern meows. (The video we uploaded shows how she will tell you when she wants something!) Usually a few treats will remedy the problem. She is indoor only and likes the company of other cats who aren't too clingy.
