Maggie finally got to bring her little Mini Aussiedoodle “Nutmeg” home tonight. She wasn’t expecting it was going to be tonight, it was a surprise. I would say by the other photos Nutmeg is going to be very well taken care of!

The Aussiedoodle is a relatively new hybrid dog breed that is quickly growing in popularity due to its adorable looks and friendly personality. This breed is a mix between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle, and it has quickly become a favorite among dog lovers around the world. But where did this breed come from, and how did it become so popular? Well, Scottie of Home Sweet Home Doodles is going to take a look at the history of Aussiedoodles.

The Origins of the Aussiedoodle

The Aussiedoodle was first bred in the United States in the 1990s, during a time when many breeders were experimenting with creating new hybrid dog breeds. The goal of breeding an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle was to combine the intelligence and loyalty of the Australian Shepherd with the hypoallergenic coat of the Poodle. At Home Sweet Home Doodles we specialize in the miniature sizes.

The first generation of Aussiedoodles was known as F1, and these dogs were a 50/50 mix of Australian Shepherd and Poodle. However, as breeders continued to experiment with different generations and crosses, new varieties of Aussiedoodles emerged, including F1B, F2, and F2B.

Popularity of the Aussiedoodle

The popularity of the Aussiedoodle began to grow in the early 2000s, as more and more people began to discover this adorable hybrid breed. One of the reasons for its popularity is that the Aussiedoodle is a great family dog - it is friendly, intelligent, and easy to train. Additionally, because the breed is hypoallergenic, it is a great choice for families with allergies.

Another reason for the popularity of the Aussiedoodle is its unique appearance. Because the breed is a mix of two different breeds, Aussiedoodles can have a variety of coat colors and patterns, as well as a range of different sizes.

Future of the Aussiedoodle

As the popularity of the Aussiedoodle continues to grow, it is likely that we will see more breeders specializing in this hybrid breed. However, as with any new breed, it is important to remember that there can be health risks associated with breeding Aussiedoodles. It is important to work with a reputable breeder who has experience breeding healthy, happy Aussiedoodles.

In conclusion, the Aussiedoodle is a relatively new breed that has quickly become a favorite among dog lovers. Whether you are looking for a friendly family dog or a hypoallergenic pet, the Aussiedoodle is definitely worth considering. As long as you work with a reputable breeder like us and provide your Aussiedoodle with lots of love and attention, you are sure to have a loyal and loving companion for years to come.

Sir Bentley (Miniature Poodle Stud) came to visit Allie and Mia this week. He’s here to breed. He has been DNA tested and cleared of all genetic defects and heritable diseases. Just as Allie and Mia has as well. Bentley has the best temperament and so well mannered while visiting here with my family. Just to give you an insight of how smart he is, he rang the bell to go outside just by watching my other two dogs, and that was on day one of the visit. He’s not even bell trained. These puppies are going to be very intelligent with a great temperament because of him, Allie and Mia.

Our Aussiedoodle Story

We are the Waldrep family, and we live in Guntersville Alabama. Guntersville rest along the banks of the Tennessee River in Northeast Alabama. Our home sits on acreage where our dogs can run, play, go for walks and enjoy life. Our dogs, along with our farm animals, are a big part of our life.

Each of our Aussiedoodles and Miniature Aussiedoodle puppies are in home raised and socialized with children and pets. We pride ourselves in carefully choosing our breeding dogs for temperament, health, and colors. We are not a kennel, we allow our dogs to live in our home because we believe they are family as well. If you are looking for a gentle and affectionate dog that often will not shed (or shed very little) you have come to the right place.

Here at Home Sweet Home Doodles, we do not breed dogs for our livelihood. I am near retirement from Law Enforcement & the Military and my wife is a Nurse Practitioner. My son contributes largely to raising our pets as well.

We enjoy our two Aussiedoodle girls, Mia and Allie May. They both have great temperaments, DNA tested through Embark and CKC register. Our stud we choose (Sir Bently), a miniature poodle, is also DNA tested through Embark. Please visit our website to reserve your next intelligent & loyal available puppy.
