FAQ: "Do boarding cats free-roam with other cats?"

Your cats will share a private room and will never see cats they don't know. All cats from one family are kept together unless otherwise requested. They will also never be in contact with my personal cats. My boarding rooms are super spacious so your kitties will have space to keep to themselves if they'd like or play with their buddies if they're in the mood!

FAQ: "What is your experience level with medicating cats?"

I have over 20 years of experience medicating cats! I have an especially big heart for kitties that have special medical conditions and need a little extra TLC, so don’t worry if you feel like your cat is “high maintenance” and needs close monitoring. I can do asthma inhaler treatments, give oral medications, injections such as insulin and things like that. I also have no trouble changing diapers, expressing bladders, or changing bandages - even for finicky kitties! If your kitty boards with me, they won't be missing their meds!

FAQ: "What's the Boarding process like?"

I wouldn’t leave my beloved cats in the hands of just anyone and I don’t expect you to either! Before we begin building our relationship, we’ll meet for a casual interview and you can see how your cats respond to me so everyone is as comfortable as possible with the process. We'll go over some forms for their care and there is no fee for this meet and greet. Once you’re established as a client, you are able to reserve a boarding room when you are ready. Reservation requires a non-refundable deposit that is 30% of your total. Once that is collected, the boarding room is held for you. The day you drop them off, you’ll provide their carrier, food, some familiar litter that they’re used to, any medications/supplements they need, whatever comfort items you’d like, and your balance. It’s a pretty simple process and I try to keep things easy and clear!

When your cats board with me, they get a quiet, safe, and comfortable room of their own in my home. Who doesn't love a private area with climbing shelves, hideouts, relaxing music, and a nice sunny spot in the window?! Your kitties would never be exposed to animals that they don’t know and the cat areas are cleaned with veterinary grade disinfectant between visitors. My home doesn't have any kids or dogs, so your kitties will adjust quickly.

FAQ: "What if I want to board all of my cats?"

Your cat crew will have their very own bedroom with kitty furniture, windows, scratching post and shelves, and other pleasantries. They will have plenty of space to play, lounge, and let their personalities shine! Most kitties don't want to be separated from the other kitties they're bonded to, so I don't charge extra for them all to come along! Boarding is charged per room used each calendar day - never per cat! If your cat has medical needs, needs diaper changes, or just needs extra attention, those have no charge either!

Board your kitties in comfort! I never charge extra if your kitty needs a special medication, detailed diet regimen, or needs a buddy to stay with them. You can keep all your kitties together in one boarding room for the same cost as one. It's important to have a friend! (Your kitties would never be exposed to any cats they don't live with.) My passion is cats.

Compassionate Cat Care, LLC began with the idea of helping people enrich the lives of their pets. What better way to do that than to pet sit for them and make sure they’re taken care of well while their humans are away? To some people, pets are more than family, they’re our entire lives. We make our daily routines around their schedules, spend our last dollar on their care, and give them everything we possibly can to make sure they have the most comfortable lives. We rely on them emotionally and our bonds are irreplaceable. Our pets are our world, and we are theirs. My invaluable experience, especially with cats, began in 2005 when I started working at an animal shelter and it’s never stopped. Since then I’ve learned so much over the years about medical and behavior issues, treatments, and enrichment. Some of my roles have included being a Caregiver, Feline Program Manager, Animal Care Technician, and Veterinary Assistant. I am also currently enrolled in college to become a Veterinary Technician! Animals are my life and this journey to share my heart with your pets is the beginning of something wonderful. I’m excited to meet some amazing kitties along the way!
