I have been meaning to post this for a while now. 😣 Work, the holidays & family life have just been pretty busy as of late.

A few days before X-mas I was on my way home from an early errand. I immediately noticed the cute puppy and what looked like she was rummaging for food with a sibling. I pulled over and rolled my window down, whistled a couple times and she sat at attention. I proceeded to get out of my car and knelt before her. She quickly but hesitantly approached me tail a-wagging and all. She fell into me and proceeded to show me her affection. I went to where she was looking for food and unbeknownst to me, she was accompanied by the unlikely-est of creatures typically spotted together. A Kitten! Somehow these two found each other and were each other’s rocks. I couldn’t leave her behind. So I scooped the kitten up and off we went. I knew they needed food, water, a nice bath and nail and ear cleaning.

Long story short, we couldn’t keep the puppy - we named her Heina. The kittens name is Ruca.

Heina ended up having what I felt to be a few medical issues. I’m no vet but I felt she needed medical attention that I just could not provide. In the mean time I could provide love, shelter, food and water. In a matter of days @robynarouty & @stacykrusewelch ...these awesome women were able to put me in touch with Lisa with @poochsavers , an awesome rescue out of Dallas, TX. They have since changed her name but, we’ll always remember her as Heina.

Heina, I know is beyond grateful for you and your team, as am I. It definitely was not easy saying bye but, I know her future is 10x’s brighter now.
