The fluffiness of Grumpy is amazing!

Hi! My name is Grumpy and I am a fluffy little girl. When I say fluffy, I mean a whole floof ball of fur. My foster mum named me Grumpy because she said I have the attitude of a teen girl...whatever that means. But she also said I'm getting to be a cuddle muffin. Sometimes I have to yell at her to remind her to snuggle me. I have to gain a little more weight before I am ready for my furever home. Until then, I will get even more snugglier and fluffier than ever.

Milo is about ready to find her forever home. She has come a long way with us. At first, she was spicy. Now, she is cuddly, loving, playful and adventurous. She gets along with other cats and dogs. And poses for pictures. 😉

Pinky, our little foster fail, has grown a lot. She is just under 4 pounds now. When we got her in October, she was less than half a pound. She is amazing and full of sass. Her eye is always a bit red (our vet takes care of that). But nothing slows her down. She thinks she weighs 20 lbs. Shhh, don't tell her the truth 😉

Pinky the micro kitten...

She hit over half a pound this week! When I started fostering her October 7, she was 5.6 ounces. As of October 13, she is 8.8 ounces. Playing has become a new thing and cuddling. Grow Pinky Grow!

Pinky the micro kitten...

Last night we picked up an orphaned kitten to foster. She weighs 5.6 ounces and is only 6 inches from head to rump. Tiny little thing. When trying to estimate her age, she has open eyes and ears, obvious teeth (she nibbles in fingers) and walks around well to explore. According to her teeth and behaviors, she could be between 4-6 weeks.

The Bouquet Litter: Photo sessions are not easy with these furry blooms. One sits still while the others move. Playful kittens are healthy kittens. Azalea (calico), Daisy (brown collar), Flower (blue collar) and Dandelion (brown tabby) have started developing their personalities. Like every boom, they are each very unique. Watch them bloom.

Our Bouquet Litter: our newest fosters. They are 2 weeks old today. This is Orchid, a little calico. She is the smallest of the litter. We’ve had this litter less than a week and this cutie already had an perilous night requiring one to one care. But she pulled through. Here Orchid has chosen to snuggle close to my heart after eating. More pictures of the litter to come. The Bouquet Litter...watch them bloom!

SAFFRON (A748441) is a dream cat. She's sweet, she's brave, she's fun, she's resilient, and she's happy to give you just as much loving as you give her.
SAFFRON is 11 years old, and she came to the shelter because her owner died in a car accident. She didn't do so well adjusting to the shelter, so I was lucky enough to become her foster a few weeks ago. She settled in easily and quickly.
In my house, she's an only pet, and it might be best that she stay that way...
She's healthy, and she's a good eater though she doesn't eat much. She LOVES cat treats.
You'll know when you meet her that SAFFRON is a cat who was used to being loved and cared for, and she is so deserving and ready to have that life back. She welcomes any attention you give her. She loves having her head and her chin rubbed. She loves being brushed. She loves hanging out on your lap. She'll even happily sleep on your bed.
And she's GORGEOUS ! There's a cat breed called a short-haired golden chinchilla. I think it's in SAFFRON's bloodline. Her fur is not like cat hair -- it's like plush.

The other day we brought home this absolutely sweet, kind mom to be, now dubbed Raspberry Swirl, and she immediately found a spot in her room and went into labor. Long night as we encouraged her and praised her all night long. She is now the proud, loving mother of two wee ones: Creamsicle (3/3/2020) and Java Chunk (3/4/2020). Guess who is who. 😊

All were seen at the vet this morning and are doing well. She is very attentive to their cries for mom and she is quite patient with them. We are very thankful to have been allowed to be part of this amazing experience with her.

All three will be available for adoption in more than a month.

New kittens coming soon...as in being born today! First one welcomed 20 minutes ago. We will keep all posted on mom and her babies.

Our first foster became a foster fail...
We took this wee one in due to her spiciness. We’ve adopted spicy kittens in the past with great success and thought we would foster this cutie and help make her mild. She definitely challenged us. But life threw in more elements. My oldest daughter, who did the most one on one with the foster, ended up in and out of the hospital. Due to the constant bedrest, my daughter bonded more than I ever expected. Their shared trauma and anxiety have led to many cuddles and snuggles. I couldn’t bear to break the bond. Yesterday, Sloth Mousse became a part of our loving family. And we are the better for it. (She is sloth due to the extremely slow way she leaves one’s lap and mousse because she needed a dessert name). When we picked her up after making it official, she nuzzled in my daughter’s neck for the longest time.
