We spent so much time⌚ , money 💰and research😱 trying to improve our horses health and fitness
But what if you're missing a huge part of equations?😯
THE RAIDERS FITNESS
I believe that it's our job as equestrian riders to be the best versions of ourselves both mentally and physically so we can make our horse's job of carrying us as easy as possible 👌
And by "fitness" I don't just mean how far u can run and how heavy u can lift.
I mean *riders specific* fitness. All the qualities riders specifically needs in saddle

Do u ever struggle in loading your horse onto the float?
Or maybe it's not that u can't get them on, but they rush off or refuse to load at the other end
Do they get on, but u need to allow to 10-30 minutes just in case you've a discussion about it
Or do u need a maximum of 2+people to help get the horse in and closed?
I used to find myself in these situations too...
And it was honestly, so embarrassing being the last one at the show with a horse that wouldn't load🥺😞
And super stressful when there was a bushfire or I needed to take the horse to the vet and he literally refused to load
Learn steps for yourself tailor loading 😂😀
Breaking through from my recent cross country with Harriet
ACCEPT A LITTLE
with a horse who is naturally and will give whatever u ask a go, it is easy to over to it. Whatever I pointed Harriet at, she happily jumped! And I was so tempted to ask for more bigger jumps, scarier jumps...but after some thought, I realized I hadn't done cross country training with her for some time and what she was offering was amazing. So I decided to accept a little and keep the session successful instead of asking for more and potentially "over cooking" her or taking advantage of her trying nature
BEWARE OF PATTERNS
I had created a pattern to jump, stop reward and graze which is great to build the desire to jump, but ultimately, I'd like to jump a multiple jumps in a row without stopping in a nice rhyme. So since the jumping habit is established, I was able to change the pattern to jump continue in rhyme (or just for a second time) before stoping, resting, rewarding and relaxing etc
