Please extend a warm welcome to our first intake of 2025! 🎉 Stevie is a 4-5-year-old mixed breed who arrived in Denver yesterday after a long ride from Woodward, Oklahoma

Everyone who meets Stevie uses the word "perfect" to describe her 😊 She is an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog. She is crate-trained, housetrained, and good with both cats and other dogs. Stevie is settling into her foster home, and we're learning more about her beautiful personality bit by bit!

Let's help this sweet girl find her family!

Hello, TSIR community! We are seeking an alternate placement for 3 kittens in foster. Unfortunately, their foster caregiver's health has declined significantly since she welcomed them, and she is no longer able to provide their care. The kittens in question are recovering from illness themselves, so they will require a little extra TLC. They do not have to be placed together, so support with one or two of them would be hugely helpful!

Hi, TSIR community! We are seeking a foster caregiver on urgent, short notice for this sweet boy. His name is Dyno, and he's described as very social and sweet! He was headed to a different rescue organization, but his tag fell through at the last minute, leaving him in scary limbo!

If you have space in your home to care for this tiny nugget until he finds his forever family, please message us or contact [email protected]! His eye is NOT infected or painful (it's scarring from a previous infection), but his foster will need to be able to administer an ophthalmic solution to expedite the healing.

Antila and Bandit are still waiting patiently for their forever homes! Both are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and ready to find their people. Details and links to their respective petfinder profiles:

🐱Antila is one of the greatest cats of all time - one of those kitties that even self-proclaimed "dogs-only" people would love. She's super mellow, affectionate, playful, and easy going. She also has an absolute heart of gold and raised a total of 6 orphaned kittens (from different litters) as her own. We think she's 2-3 years old. Read more about her on her adoption profile!🐱

🐶Bandit is a sweet mature gentleman, estimated to be around 9 years old. He loves to stay at the side of his person and give kisses. He's mellow, quiet, and very well housetrained. He likes other dogs and is mild-mannered around cats. He becomes nervous around loud noises, so he'll thrive in a calm environment where he can fully relax. He's undergone so much transition lately, but he's all around a great dog who's just craving love and stability.🐶

TSIR has had a lot to celebrate in June 🐶 Nana, Pongo (now Goose), Elaine (now Winnie), Perdy, and Dessi (now Dezi) all found their forever people! Some of these pups waited months and months to find their permanent homes. 🎉 We're so excited for their next chapters, and we're feeling grateful for all 5 wonderful adopters! Every adoption makes a world of difference 💓

The Snuggle is Real Animal Rescue is dedicated to serving last-chance dogs and cats who would otherwise be euthanized in overcrowded shelters. Sadly, by the time these furbabies reach the rescue, many of them have already experienced countless scary moments. Even the best shelters are often loud and stressful for their wards, and some animals have previously experienced cruelty or neglect as well. Therefore, some of TSIR's charges are inevitably sensitive souls, who become overwhelmed by unfamiliar situations.

TSIR is committed to supporting animals' behavioral health, in addition to their physical health. For this reason, they have partnered with positive-reinforcement/force-free training professionals. Training adhering to these philosophies has been compared to "doggy therapy," because it helps dogs communicate with people and other animals, develop confidence, and learn that the world is safe. These skills are especially important in today's rescue ecosystem. With a rising population of animals in need, adoptions have slowed to a crawl. Training helps dogs find their forever homes more efficiently and transition to their new lives more comfortably.

Unfortunately, even though these trainers are very generous with their time and resources, the cost of training squeezes the limited funds of a small rescue organization. Please help us fund some much-needed support for our nervous-nellies!
