Wipe your dogs butt? Really, well there are some reasons when you should help them out with their cleanliness. First if you do wipe for your furbabie do not use diaper wipes there are special Pet friendly wipes on the market, or you can use a damp wash cloth. I would also use gloves when cleaning your fubabie. Your furbabie normally cleans themselves by licking or butt scooting but if they have f***l matter attached or have been sick with diarrhea you may need to help them out some. Sometimes the butt scooting is associated with their a**l glands that need to be cleaned, normally your vet or groomer can help with that issue.

When should you bathe your dog? This is a great question that all furbabie owners should be asking themselves! There really is no straight forward answer and it all depends upon your furbaby. Let me ask you some questions, does your pet have long hair, short hair, no hair, does your pet have skin allergies or dry skin? You need to know the answers to these questions to make the appropriate decision for you furbabies.
The furbabies with no hair really need bathes every week for skin care but when you get to the double coat breeds like Eskies, Goldens, Huskies, Anatolians over-bathing will stip to much oil form their skin. They should be bathed every two to three months.
Now pets like a Maltese they have a lot of hair however they do not have the undercoat and need to be groomed between baths but really should only be bathed every 4-6 weeks.
If you pet does have health conditions and medicated shampoo is need follow the instructions from your vet.
