Regular grooming is important for keeping your pooch comfortable in his own fur. This is especially true for long-coated canines.

Matted and tangled isn’t fun or comfortable, so you’ll need to brush him every day.

Pay special attention to the hair around the elbows, on the tummy and between the legs, as these areas are particularly prone to matting.

When brushing double coated dogs, your last step should be to run a fine tooth comb from skin to the end of the hair shaft to ensure no matts/tangles.

If you’re not prepared to brush daily, take him to a professional dog groomer to get his coat clipped or shaved.

Antifreeze attracts cats and dogs because it is very sweet to taste, but it is extremely poisonous and can cause serious illness or death when ingested.

Be sure to clean up any antifreeze that spills in your garage, and keep the bottle somewhere your pets cannot access.

When it comes to bathroom routines, this helps to prevent accidents and makes house training so much easier.

Be sure to reward the behavior you want, which ensures you’re setting up your puppy for success.
