We live in a very rural area and have had our share of animals dumped by heartless people. Some we are able to keep and others we find homes for. This pure bred older German Shepherd was dumped on us about 4 years ago. We decided to keep him, named him Shep and gave him food and lots of TLC. But it was weeks before he would allow anyone to touch him. One day I picked up one of our barn cats and Shep ran to me, nuzzled the cat and allowed me to pet him for the very first time.
He loves all of our cats and is more comfortable with them than he is with humans. Our vet says he most likely was abused before coming to us. He has a good life now and enjoys snuggling with a kitten we recently adopted…they are best buds.

He was abandoned on the highway, left to fend for himself, a fragile soul battered by life's cruel twists. The screech of tires, the impact of metal against bone—those harrowing moments etched into my memory forever. For 45 desperate minutes, I fought to save him, my heart pounding in sync with each labored breath he took.

In that sterile vet's office, I made a choice—a pact with destiny. I would be his lifeline, his unwavering advocate. The bills piled up, but I paid them willingly, knowing that this creature, battered and broken, had found his way into my heart.

Three years have passed since that fateful day. His scars have healed, but his appearance bears witness to his journey. His eyes, once filled with fear, now sparkle with resilience. I whisper to him daily, "This is not who you are." He listens, his tail wagging in agreement.

He is the bravest dog I know. His spirit, unyielding, defies the odds. He chases after life with a fervor that humbles me. When he plays with my other dogs, their joy intertwines—a symphony of survival and companionship.

And so, I champion the cause of disabled animals. They, too, deserve a chance—a shot at life, love, and family. Just like the disabled person who defies limitations, my four-legged child embodies beauty and uniqueness. His presence, a testament to resilience, reminds me that love transcends all boundaries. 🐾❤️🌟

I am absolutely heart broken. Last night my finace and I had to put down our lab. His name was Ash. I found Ash about 8 years ago, roaming around a neighborhood. I pulled over to see if he had a collar on, and he did not. So I opened my truck door, and asked if he wanted in. He jumped right into my truck. I drove the neighborhood for hours trying to find his owners. I posted him all over Social media, and no one ever claimed him. He also wasn’t chipped. So I decided to keep him. I noticed immediately he had severe separation anxiety. My ex and I lived in an apt at the time, and one day our neighbors offered to watch him for us while we worked because he would whine so much. I made a promise to him that day that I would never leave him, and I would be there with him until the end. Well apparently the last 8 years flew by, and the end abruptly came last night. Yesterday morning he was playing fetch, running around, being happy as could be. By 9:45pm he was couldn’t walk, and was very lathargic. We rushed him to the emergency Vet. A tumor was surrounding his heart, and it tore open causing him bleed internally and putting pressure on his heart. They said these things are extremely hard to find, and it’s almost always too late. I still feel in such shock. He was the best friend I ever had. He was there by my side through me losing my house, my business, my divorce, and pretty much having to start my life over. He will always mean the world to me. I love you Ashy boy ❤️

"My foster dog stinks to high heaven. I don’t know for sure what breed he is. His eyes are blank and hard. He won’t let me pet him and growls when I reach for him. He has ragged scars and crusty sores on his skin. His nails are long and his teeth which he showed me are stained.

I sigh.

I drove two hours for this. I carefully maneuver him so that I can stuff him in the crate. Then I heft the crate and put it in the car. I am going home with my new foster dog.

At home I leave him in the crate till all the other dogs are in the yard. I get him out of the crate and ask him if he wants ‘outside.’ As I lead him to the door he hikes his leg on the wall and shows me his stained teeth again.

When we come in he goes to the crate because that’s the only safe place he sees. I offer him food but he won’t eat it if I look at him, so I turn my back. When I come back the food is gone. I ask again about ‘outside.’ When we come back I pat him before I let him in the crate, he jerks away and runs into the crate to show me his teeth.

The next day I decide I can’t stand the stink any longer. I lead him into the bath with cheese in my hand. His fear of me is not quite overcome by his wish for the cheese. And well he should fear me, for I will give him a bath.

After an attempt or two to bail out he is defeated and stands there. I have bathed four legged bath squirters for more dog years than he has been alive. His only defense was a show of his stained teeth that did not hold up to a face full of water.

As I wash him it is almost as if I wash not only the stink and dirt away but also some of his hardness. His eyes look full of sadness now. And he looks completely pitiful as only a soap covered dog can. I tell him that he will feel better when he is cleaned. After the soap the towels are not too bad so he lets me rub him dry. I take him outside. He runs for joy. The joy of not being in the tub and the joy of being clean. I, the bath giver, am allowed to share the joy. He comes to me and lets me pet him.

His skin is healing. He likes for me to pet him. I think I know what color he will be when his hair grows in. I have found out he is terrified of other dogs. So I carefully introduce him to my mildest four legged brat. It doesn’t go well.

Two weeks later a new vet bill for an infection that was missed on the first visit. He plays with the other dogs.

Three weeks later he asks to be petted. He chewed up part of the rug.

Eight weeks later his coat shines, he has gained weight. He shows his clean teeth when his tongue lolls out after he plays chase in the yard with the gang. His eyes are soft and filled with life. He loves hugs and likes to show off his tricks, if you have the cheese.

Someone adopted him today... When they saw him the first time they said he was the most beautiful dog they had ever seen.

Six months later I got a call from his new family. He is wonderful, smart, well behaved and very loving. How could someone not want him? I told them I didn’t know. He is beautiful. They all are".

Fosters change the world, so please consider opening your home to a dog in need 🙏🐾

Humble Beginnings

My fur babies are rescues. This is one of their first pics while still in “lockdown,” waiting for us to take them home.

As they grew, I realized that their yard ornaments created brown spots in my lawn. Bruce’s and Chester’s paws and my family’s shoes occasionally brought some of their “gifts” inside on the carpet. I began cleaning their waste daily.

Daily walks are part of our routine. We roam our neighborhood - different sections depending on the day. I discovered that some people don’t clean their yards. This sparked my inspiration. I researched and found that there are already some pet waste removal companies.

The unique aspect of my business is that when you contact my company, you get ME. This is a solo operation. You are not getting someone who is only earning a fraction of what you are paying. I am motivated to do an excellent job because it’s my name on the biz - my reputation. And I take it seriously.
