We had an amazing day yesterday with Animal Shelter of Northeast Nebraska at Project Homeless Connect Norfolk! We helped 63 animals get the preventative care they needed! Thank you for letting us be a part of such a special group of people doing amazing things in our community!

All shelter and rescues are being swamped with kittens! There are so many ways you can help! You can foster, donate, or adopt! But you can also help by getting your own pets fixed! We have a barn cat program for outside and feral cats that offers a spay or neuter, rabies vaccine and ear tip for only $50!! We now offer in-house bloodwork! This important tool helps us diagnose and treat your pet faster and more effectively. It also allows us to offer pre-surgical and bloodwork. This weeks small business shout out goes to Madison County Veterinary Clinic......I can not say enough great things about them!!! We met them under the worst circumstances on Christmas eve 2 years ago and Jeff just blew me away with the care and compassion that he had for our daughter in laws Doberman. We now take our boxers there and it has been a great experience (we have one with really high anxiety) and he knew just what we needed to do to make the best of the feature visits.
They also work closely with the Norfolk Cat Project and help with spaying and neutering the strays that they catch. Norfolk cat project is completely self funded and could definitely use the support, both physically and financially.....follow their page for ways to help

We had a great time hosting the 4-H Cat Showmanship Workshop to teach 4-H members how to show their cat at the fair! Thank you to everyone who attended as well as Jeannie, Sheryl, Katie, and our technician, Erin who helped make it possible! Also thank you the Nebraska Extension in Madison County for putting it together and CFA - The Cat Fanciers' Association, Inc for providing some great give aways and information to all who participated! Stay tuned for more learning opportunities in the future!

There's still time to sign up for our 4-H Cat Showmanship Workshop taking place TOMORROW (Saturday) at the clinic. This fun event will teach kids how to show their feline companion at the fair. If you’ve been to the clinic you know we like cats - ok Dr. Kathy likes cats - like A LOT! And we have some very awesome cats we think you’ll like too! These guys are all looking for their forever home! They don’t have an adoption fee but need to go to indoor only homes.
