Two chances to meet our buddies this weekend!

📆 Sat 9/27 4-6PM
📍 Zepeddie’s (South End)
🅿️ Parking can be a little tricky in this neighborhood + is a mix of paid and unpaid lot or street parking

📆 Sun, 9/28 12-3PM
📍 Sycamore Brewing South End
🅿️ If you’d like to use the Sycamore garage, it’s a flat rate $10 on weekends

☀️🌧️ Both events are covered and will occur rain or shine!

*Dogs cannot be adoption directly from an event, and adoption is not guaranteed. All adoptions must follow our adoption process which begins with completing an application on our website!

Don’t tell us you can’t find the breed you’re looking for in rescue. Popsicle was surrendered at our county shelter waiting for anyone to give her a forever home. She’s been an absolute doll since becoming a BB pup and we are excited to say she’s been adopted and has a human sister of her own 🥹 happy tails, Popsicle!

New week, new round of buddies to save.

The rate in which puppies are being born and dogs are being surrendered to county shelters is daunting. It’s easy to get down when it feels like you’re emptying the ocean with a spoon. This week we are focusing on the difference just saving a single dog can make.

All of these photos are new intakes in ONE rural shelter. If you don’t see a dog you’re interested here, there’s HUNDREDS of other options out there.

Why helping puppies in shelters is important:

-Most shelters don’t have a thorough adoption screening, meaning literally anyone can adopt a puppy with no guarantee of continued required vaccines or spay/neuter.

-Having 10 puppies in one run makes it a lot harder to open that one run up to save other dogs in need. A rescue pulling a full litter at one time can open this space to save another life.

-Puppies health is at a much higher risk in the shelter being without vaccines and little to no immune system.

Can you even handle this squishy low riding gurllll 😍

Lara is approximately 6 months old and has been an absolute gem since we pulled her from our local county shelter. Through her spay and battling uncomfortable skin issues, she’s been incredible for her fosters: crated, sleeping through the night, and with all dogs and people she meets.

Someone’s goin to be really lucky welcoming this girl into their homes!

It was a big week for Billie’s Buddies welcoming 10 new pups!

Big dogs, small dogs, young dogs, old dogs. We’ve got a LOT going on! We’ll be taking the long weekend to make sure the new pups get settled and our existing fosters are taken care of. Responses to new inquiries will be delayed, but we will still be working adoption applications behind the scenes!

One way we need volunteers is for buddies like James who needs someone to spend time with him at our event this weekend!

James needs to get dropped off at someone’s house at 7-8:30AM or at 11AM, and then brought to the ice cream social event! His foster will pick him up when the event is over!

Fawn 🩷

This girl stole our hearts the second we saw her in the shelter, and we are so glad to be able to help her on her path to forever. This one year old has been an absolute sweetheart, and we know she will only continue to flourish!

Can you even believe that Shakira’s pop stars are FOUR WEEKS OLD! We are seeing more and more of their personalities each day and will continue to share what we know about them as they grow!

Tupac: goofy and gentle
Celine Dion: reserved and loving
Madonna: opinionated and driven
Justin Timberlake: silly and willful
Missy Elliot: small but mighty! A fiesty but not over the top little girl!
Aaron Carter: independent and charming
Ricky Martin: chill and sweet

Mama Shakira is doing an incredible job taking care of her babies and getting beck unto tiptop shape herself!

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING
We are about to start doing interviews for the puppies! Meet and greets will be scheduled with approved applications, and pre-adoptions will secure a pup to go-home when they’re 8 weeks!

These pups are assumed Rottweiler mixes. Experience/breed education will be necessary to provide the safest environment for the pups to grow up in!
