We went along to the gccfv Xmas show today which is the final one for the year. Our 😍 cats and kittens were as usual beautifully behaved and proved quite popular with the judges.
Thankyou to the committee, judges and stewards along with all the sponsors for the great day.
Ancats Grand Champion Shalida Aristotle won all three of his classes and was reserve British Shorthair adult in 2 rings.
Ancats Double Grand Champion Shalida Lady Penelope won all her classes and was Best British shorthair in ring 3.
Ancats Double Grand Champion Shalida Lord Sebastian was Best of breed in all three rings and also placed 4th adult entire overall in ring 2.
Shalida Lilybelle was second in all rings
Enix Dakota Valley was first in all three rings. Best British shorthair kitten in all 3 rings and Best overall Shorthair kitten in rings 1 and 2.

I also now have a name. My mummy has called me Shalida Dream Boat. She said something about me being beautiful (which I know) but also about being a show cat when I grow up...whatever that means 🤷‍♀️

Today we attended the Ancats Cat of the Year awards. It was a lovely afternoon spent socialising with people and eating way to much food!
Huge thankyou to everyone who organises the day and also to the judges, stewards and committee throughout the year giving us such wonderful opportunities to show our beloved cats.
We did quite well
Ancats DB GD Champion Shalida Aristotle was 9th top 10 entire cat of the year.
Ancats Db Gd Champion Shalida Lord Sebastian was 4th entire cat of the year and also Beat British Longhair Cat of the year. We have one kore show next weekend with gccfv and then a well deserved break for the show team and we will concentrate on our up and coming kittens.

Wow! What a weekend, Melbourne Cat Lovers Festival was an absolute blast totally exhausting but so worth being a part of. Apart from having a stand which literally had thousands of people visit wanting to meet our cats and chat about them we also attended the Ancats Cat Lovers Show. We had 7 cats entered all of who I am so incredibly proud of 😍
This wasn't an ordinary show with just the breeders and a few members of the public watching. The cats coped with thousands of people walking past, talking, taking photos etc all whilst being handled by our judges.
We achieved some fantastic results, I couldn't be happier especially being a smaller breeder and more than holding our own against the others.
The biggest thrill was seeing my gorgeous, special British Longhair boy Shalida Lord Sebastian do so well. His results are incredible, he was listed in the final top 5 and 10 with 4 out of 6 judges, 2 of them being our international judges. The feedback was nothing short of glowing. Some may ask why point out his results over the others and rightly so, I mean look at Turtle's he was right up at the top of the judges books and also was my darling kittens Dakota and Lily. The reason is longhair British havent always been accepted and many dont know about them so to have them recognised in this way is a real treat! Unfortunately I haven't any photos of the team from the weekend but I have added their results below.
I also want to say a massive thankyou to my amazing friends who helped me all weekend, Elaine I couldn't have done it all without you and Adele your visit with your amazing lunch was so very appreciated ❤️ Also to Melissa and Kara from Enix British Shorthairs and David Gillet from Diamond Road Cattery I will forever be so grateful and love you with everything for allowing me to have some of your gorgeous cats,I so very much appreciate getting to love them so much ❤️
