RuPaws had such a fun time at the Cat Gallery Show this weekend at 400 West Rich Street that he wanted to feature one of his FeLV+ friends! Thanks so much to everyone who gave love to our FeLV+ cats this weekend!

My name is Mr. Jowls (M, 5 yrs), and I'm the classic scruffy tom cat with a heart of gold. Growing up alone on mean streets of the Near East Side meant nobody saw the real me--a big softie who loves attention and affection. I pretended to be happy patrolling the streets, but each night, I would look into windows and see how all the house cats lived, full with yummy food and someone's love. I tried to show how sweet and friendly I was to every person I saw, and eventually, a nice lady let me stay in her basement until I could come to Colony Cats! She said I was so good about using the litter box and being in a carrier, even though it was all new to me. If only she knew that I'd been waiting my whole life for this!

As we prepare on the Gulf Coast of Florida for a storm, a reminder to everyone to always stay prepared for an emergency when it comes to your pets. Storms, fires, earthquakes and so many other unforeseen circumstances could call for quick evacuation.
