“You don’t buy a good horse, you make one.”

After a lovely long bank holiday weekend it has been nice to have more time to ride.
Reflecting on how far we have come in the last few years makes me value a journey that once felt bleak.
No horse or human is perfect in its form and learning how to create better functionality through flexibility and Co ordination is the way forward.

Welcome to Sane & Sound.

Here we hope to bring about change and offer support to those who have had un resolved or costly experiences of diagnosing lameness in horses.

Remaining sane during times like these can be easier said than done……
I like many others have found myself not being taken seriously and having been utterly drained by the need for thousands being spent on diagnostics that were unnecessary.

Our dear horses are so often tolerant and will suffer being poked prodded and left in unusual surroundings to carry out procedures, often not being considered as “horses.”

Whilst we will all be sharing our experiences and learning from each other I would like to stress this page is for support, not unpleasant comments.

Transparency is important as we all need to understand how this may relate to how our horse is suffering or how we may have ideas that could help our horses or others.

Bad language bullying or any information believed to result in suffering or injury or long term issues will be removed.

I would like to invite you to share this with others who m,at also need positive support.
