Hi everyone! Jen Doyle here, Director of Alleycats & Aristocats. Thursday January 23rd is my 52nd trip around the sun. 😱

Being a part of rescue work has been hands down one of the most meaningful and rewarding things I have ever done in my life!

I only wish I would have found the rescue life when I was much younger!

I never lived in an area where community cats were right under my nose. I grew up in a dog household. I never even had a cat until much later in life.

It wasn’t until we found a kitten in the hood of a car by our family’s cafe 5 years ago that my eyes were opened! From that point on, I fell in love with the rescue life and I fell hard. I joined another rescue The Euclid Beach Cat Project, to foster and then soon after took a board position.

Alleycats & Aristocats was born in 2022 to address the need to help homeless cats and kittens in Medina county where my family lives.

My ONLY wish for my birthday this year is to find others to join in some way to help a rescue!
I really have to make up for lost time here!

Bones is the bestest boy! Here’s what our volunteers say about him:

“Bones is one of the sweetest, most fun Tuxedo cats we have! He’s always friendly and loves to play! “
“He loves sitting with people and getting pets. And he loves when you pour the water into the dishes because he likes to play with it!”
“Great with kids!”
“Bones likes other cats too- he seems to always find a best bud with each new group we introduce him to.”

Bones is estimated to be 3 years old, and he is neutered , microchipped, routinely treated for fleas and words, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for FIV, FeLV, and heartworm.

Cats off the Square is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11-4! Come meet our adoptable cats and get some snuggles! Adoption fee for kittens is $125 or 2 for $200, adult cats $100. Link to Petfinder and adoption application in bio!

Here at Alleycats & Aristocats we only adopt kittens under 4 months old as pairs or to an adopter that already has another cat or kitten in the home. Kittens learn from other cats and are less likely to develop unwanted behaviors when paired with another cat.

Read below to hear about some of our achievements from 2024!

In 2024, we adopted out 621 cats to loving homes thanks to the help of our fully volunteer based team!

We extended our reach by assisting in a case in Canton, OH resulting in the rescue of 40 cats and we crossed state lines into Michigan where we rescued 19 Savannah cats.

We pulled 21 cats from euthanasia lists at local, overextended shelters.

Although it was a great year, running an animal rescue does not come without its struggles. From abuse cases to medical issues we could not have made it through another year without our wonderful volunteers and donors. There are many pieces of this puzzle. Every minute and penny means the world to these cats.

So please consider helping us kick off another great year, and thank you for being a friend!

Our TNR team, Wadsworth Alleycats is doing a major happy dance right now!!!! The just sent me a video of it…I saw it with my own eyes.

Thank you soooo much for all you do AlterClinic Animal Care! The rescues are thanking you so much right now too! 😻

With this special pricing from January 13th - January 23rd if you see a cat outside that is not tipped please get them fixed! If you need a trap send us a message! We will loan you one!

Now is the perfect opportunity to help all those kitties outside that NEED our help!

Our friends at Wadsworth Alleycats did such great work in 2024!

In its first seven months of operation Wadsworth Alleycats was able to help more than 130 cats showcasing the need for their organization's services in Wadsworth.

Happy New Year to all of our amazing supporters and followers!🎉🍾 we cannot thank you all enough for the amazing things you help our rescue do.

Here are some A&A highlights from 2024!

🏡We adopted out 621 cats and kittens! That brings our total to 1,596 adoptions since we started in 2022!

🤝We partnered with Wadsworth Alleycats & their TNR program who helped over 132 cats.

🐭We found 24 placements for working cats in barns & returned a lost cat to his owner.

🎩We found homes for 13 purebred cats, including Thai, Maine C**n, and Sphynx cats.

🗓️We participated in 85 events! These included private parties at the shelter, fundraisers, The IX Center Cat Show, Volunteering at Medina fair week & Tats for Cats just to name a few.

👏🏼We took on several projects that allowed us to collaborate with rescues here & in other states!

40 cats & kittens in Canton
21 cats pulled from the euthanasia list at an overextended shelter

Cassia will make a lovely companion cat. She is very sweet and gentle. She comes eagerly for pets and attention, but prefers you not hold her yet. She would do best in a quiet home with no children and is ok with other cats, given the proper introduction. Give Cassia the gift of home, and she will make sure you’re never lonely!
