OUR SHIPPING RULES AND POLICIES.

We make all the arrangements for you, and you pick your parrot up at the airport, just like picking up a person & you will need a reference/airbill number. Shipping is totally safe & stress free on the bird. You will receive your bird within 6-8 hours same day after shipping depending on your location. Transportation by planes are as safe as you or I flying. I have shipped pets for more than 11 years now.

We ship our parrots using airlines because it is the fastest & safest way to transport our parrots from our place to yours especially if you live far away or in another state. Our parrots are shipped in an airline approved pet kennel that we customize for parrots, the distance or duration of the journey. They ride in a special climate controlled & pressurized compartment on the plane which is no difference from the cabin.

Our shipping crates are clearly marked with colorful "LIVE ANIMALS" and "UP" stickers. We mark the crates clearly with the destination airport, the confirmation number, the phone & address of the customer. When we know that a parrot is going to be shipped, we play with them in the crate prior to shipping so they are used to it. They have never shown fear of the crate. We put lots of food & plenty of water in the shipping crate. One reason we do this is in case, in the unlikely event the bird should get stuck at an airport overnight because of connecting flight trouble, we don't have to worry if they have enough to eat or drink. Although traveling is not that hard on them, we do not like to make them spend any more time than absolutely necessary in transit. For this reason we also look for the shortest route & always schedule direct flights if possible.

We check weather conditions at the receiving end and only ship when we consider it safe to do so. We put our parrots health above all other considerations and do not ship when we feel it could be dangerous to the parrots well-being. We usually ship Monday - Saturday. We guarantee safe & healthy arrival of your parrot. We WILL NOT SHIP if we feel that weather conditions are hazardous for the parrot. Your bird may take few days to adjust once they get to their new homes, sometimes it takes them a day or two to settle in, but by far, the vast majority of people tell us they just step right out of the shipping crate & act right at home. We really appreciate knowing that the parrot has arrived safely & at home with you, so please call or email us as soon as you get the chance.

Don’t forget to take your parrot to veterinarian for the regular arrival-health-check-up within 48 hours of arrival. A follow-up call is placed 24 hours after you have received your parrot to ensure everything is perfect. We can also deliver your new parrots DIRECTLY into your arms!! We have reliable Airline that will fly with your parrot right to you. This is the safest, most reliable, and the least stressful way for your new parrot to be delivered to you. We want the best possible care for our parrot(s).

CHARACTERISTICS OF AFRICAN GREY PARROTS

Temperament,
There’s a reason why the African grey is often considered the poster bird for parrot intelligence - not only is this bird inclined to amass large vocabularies, African greys have also demonstrated an aptitude for recognizing the meaning of words and phrases. An African grey will need plenty of toys that challenge their intelligence, such as foraging and puzzle toys. African greys seem especially affected by stress and commotion in their environment and can be put more at ease by placing one corner of the cage against a wall as opposed to in the middle of a room.

Breeding,
Don’t expect your pair to get right to breeding as soon as they move into their new home. At worst, it will take a few years even for a bonded pair to produce their first eggs. Therefore, some careful nudging in the right direction to encourage breeding will help shorten the wait. Feed your birds with a superior diet to make sure they produce robust chicks from large clutches. A poor diet will result in less eggs and sickly young birds.

Diet,
African grey parrots are more prone to deficiency in vitamin-A/beta-carotene, and therefore benefit from eating vegetables high in beta-carotene, such as cooked sweet potato and fresh kale. Vitamin-D deficiency is another concern, especially for greys on a poor diet. Offering a balanced pelleted diet as an African grey’s main diet will help prevent vitamin and mineral deficiencies. A grey that consumes a pelleted diet generally does not need vitamin supplements added to its food. We are ready to satisfy our costumers at anytime they to our home of good and cute parrots of all time .No matter your destination. We are ready and will always satisfy your desire to get your companion from our home of good African Grey Parrots.

WHY WE CHARGE FOR SAFETY TRAVEL BOXES.

Our Farm Of African greys would like you to know that the home receives no profit from the ‘safety travel boxes’ or from any shipping fees associated with your order. After the ‘safety travel box’ materials and the necessary labor components for shipping are accounted for, there is zero profit for the home.

Our Parrots Farm is able to keep its prices as mathematically low as possible for our customers. In 2018 some shipping companies raised shipping costs, and the home choose not to pass this burden on to our customers. The home absorbed these additional costs to ensure the best and the lowest possible bird prices could be maintained for our customers. In addition, despite the ever-increasing costs associated with time investments and efforts needed to farm birds, our home continues to keep bird prices very low. This is a great win for the customers!

Our Parrots Farm is a group of family members and enthusiasts that work diligently on behalf of our customers. It has grown to become a wonderful home this year, both inside and out. Our home continues to put animal welfare and its customer's needs at the center of its business efforts.

Thank you again, for evolving with us. The home will continue to strive for increased efficiency models in an effort to lower the cost of avian pet ownership. If the home discovers increased cost-effective methods to safely deliver these wonderful pet birds, it will implement these processes. You can count on that.

We are hoping your avian enthusiasm prospers greatly and as always, we strongly encourage all avian enthusiasts to breed in a shared and large scale effort to help the many avian endangered species in this ever changing plane.

Shipping and Safety Travel Boxes.

We've worked hard to give you the very best quality and experience as we ship your bird(s) and bird supplies. We cooperate diligently with USPS, Airline Companies, FedEx, and others to streamline our shipping process.

We hope you'll enjoy our new easy to use system as we continue to serve you: Why we charge for the 'Safety Travel Box'.

A USPS Safety Travel Box is needed to ship your bird(s) to you which costs you some little cash. This is a requirement of the US Postal Service and there are no additional shipping fees. Our travel boxes are insulated, climate controlled, include a perch and all necessary dietary needs to ensure your bird(s) has / have a safe and comfortable shipping journey.

After live orders ship via USPS Express Priority Mail the travel time is typically 1 to 3 days to reach you.

For live orders using Commercial Air shipping we will contact you once your order is available to ship and confirm the days you're able to pick up your order at the airport. After the flight is booked, the itinerary will be forwarded to you by email.

Special Considerations of African Grey Parrots;
Most bird keepers believe that only an experienced bird enthusiast should keep a grey. They are complex parrots, highly sensitive, and more than a little demanding. They are also charming and brilliant, but this match of sensitivity and brains can lead to behavioral issues. They are creatures of habit, and even a small change in routine can make a sensitive grey unhappy. They are prone to plucking and chewing their feathers, among other bad habits. Anecdotally, the Timenh African Grey Parrot has a hardier attitude and may be better for households with a lot of people coming and going. The Congo African Grey prefers a little less chaos. We havegood healthy African grey parrots for sale coming alongside with all the papers as required , place your order and receive a good companion for your family or your kids to keep them comfortable.

Guarantee is void if all the following requirements are not followed:

The bird must be quarantined away from all other birds and an examination by an Avian Certified Veterinarian must be done within 24 hours after possession.

If you currently have other birds or have had birds in the same environment within the past year, you must provide documentation of their health and past medical history. The reasoning for this is that many viruses can stay in the environment for many months after an infected bird is removed.

20/10/2020

You need to understand our health Guarantee procedures.
It is understood that Seller will in no way be responsible for any veterinarian medical bills, including charges for a necropsy, or refund of any shipping charges if the bird was originally shipped to you. Buyer also understands that if the leg band is removed from the bird, the Health Guarantee is null and void. The veterinarian must reference band number with the reason why the band removed, when explaining any disease or cause of death.

The health of the bird is guaranteed for 3 days through examination by an AVIAN CERTIFIED veterinarian at the discretion and expense of the buyer. If the bird is found to be of unsatisfactory health and written documentation from a licensed, AVIAN CERTIFIED veterinarian is presented, the buyer will immediately deliver the bird to the breeder and receive a full refund of the purchase price of the bird. This documentation must include band number and species. The breeder will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by the buyer during this time or for costs to return the bird to the breeder.

In the unlikely event of death within twelve (12) days of the buyer taking possession, the bird must be wrapped in paper towels, placed in a plastic bag, and refrigerated, (not frozen), until a necropsy can be performed, by a qualified, licensed Avian Veterinarian within seventy-two hours after death. All reports must be sent to our veterinarian, and include band number and species. If necropsy proves beyond doubt, that death occurred from problems originating prior to the sale a replacement baby will be offered from the next available clutch of the original species. The cost of the necropsy will be provided to the buyer. The breeder will not be responsible for any other expenses and takes no responsibility for problems occurring in other birds, as per clause 3(a), the bird must be quarantined and it is the buyer’s responsibility to do so.
