Aglaonema pictum tricolor is a plant with a unique camo pattern on leaves. 🌿
Despite its masking coloring, it stands out from other, rather typically colored species.
The Aglaonema genus requires a moist but well-drained substrate and high air humidity. It prefers a bright spot with quite a lot of diffused light. It grows best in well ventilated terrariums with high quality lighting.

Do you know that the most popular model of Skylight terrarium lamps is available in 2️⃣ versions?

👉 MID-30 are free-standing lamps designed to be placed on the glass top of the terrarium. They are equipped with elegant, transparent legs, thanks to which they stand a few centimetres above the surface of the glass.

👉 MID-30R model is deprived of those long, clear legs, but in their place it has mounting holes, thanks to which you can install the lamps in a rack or under a tank lid. It also has small rubber stands on which you can stand the lamps if you have no way to hang them up.

This Pyrrosia nummularifolia was planted here just 4 days ago as one single piece cut off from the mother plant. ✂️
It is a beautiful, trouble-free fern that creeps well on the bottom of the vivarium but also climbs background and hardscape elements.
Although it is a species that does well as a typical epiphyte, a nutritious substrate makes it take off much faster. 🌱
In our freshly started terrarium it sprouted 3 new shoots in the blink of an eye! 😳

Have you ever heard of Hygrolon 3D? 🤔 It is a Hygrolon sheet based on a mouldable metal mesh. It has all the properties of classic Hygrolon, but it also gives unlimited possibilities of forming backgrounds and creating fantastic shapes. You can also use it to make a great stake for aroids and other plants! 🌿Just cut a piece of Hygrolon 3D, form it into a tube and fill the inside with Synthic or natural Sphagnum. Done! ✔️
Now your plants will be able to draw water from the stake as well 💧

Honestly, we cannot imagine a tropical vivarium without beautiful natural moss! 😌 Not only do they increase the attractiveness of the tank by adding a wild feeling, but they also help to keep the humidity inside high, creating favourable conditions for plants and animals 🌿🦎🐸
The easiest and very effective way to grow moss in a terrarium is to use a ready-made spore mix like Dusk MossMix. Simply soak the ready-made mixture in a small amount of water, and then apply the resulting 'paste' to the surfaces to be mossed.
Now all you need to do is mist the surface regularly and provide it with a good quality light. After a few weeks you will notice the first green bits! 🌱

Many of you are probably wondering why we are called OrangeFrog.store, right? 🤨
It's because of our favourite frogs - Oophaga pumilio, which can come in all sorts of colours. Our first Oophagas were actually orange with blue legs, just like in our trademark! 😊
