Never Walk Your Dog When It’s This Hot 🐕☀️
Walking your dog on hot pavement can lead to serious burns and injuries. So if it’s 86 degrees F (or higher) outside, it’s best to let your pet stay indoors.

SOUND ALL THE WAY UP 🔊
This is a more quiet day for when I arrive for their outing. 🤣🤣🤣 It’s their last few days with us, and it’s super bittersweet. I’m emotional because I love them! They’ve been such a fun and energetic pack and have really kept me on my feet. The huskies have most definitely given me some of the most heightened moments I’ve ever had in my dog professional career. Forever thankful for them.
And totally going to miss them

When it comes to owning a dog, it can often feel like you’re on separate teams.
But you and your dog will always be on the same team. It’s our responsibility to understand them and to be able to communicate their way. Dogs will naturally pick up language and behaviors from us (so don’t worry they’re doing the work on their end!)
This is why we train. To be able to effectively be on the same team as our dog. Human and dog relationships are far more than just a bond- it’s a frequency.
Remember that there is no language barrier when you put in the work! Happy Training
If you saw our story a few days ago, you’ll know that we crossed the sand bridge over to Thompson Island.
The dogs LOVED it! In the middle of the sand bridge was an abandoned boat. Everyone was too nervous to even go near it but Shosi is also showing up and out!
This is her proud face because she was the only one curious and confident enough to check it out.
Love my girl 🥹
The Goodest puppies you ever did see
Happy Friday!
5 years with this goon and her brother Alo. My dogs prepared me for having and raising children.
I kid you not, the puppy stage is like the toddler stage. If you make it through puppyhood, you’re gonna be alright 😭
Anyway, happy Mother’s Day weekend to all the awesome mommas out there! Pets, plants, kids, and anything in between! Keep rockin on, the world needs more awesome moms💥
Love making my dogs happy 🥰
VERY important
HYDRATION 💦
Hydrating your dog is something so simple but it's actually so overlooked and most people don't think about hydrating when it comes to meal times.
If your dog is eating a kibble diet, they are more prone to dehydration. This is because the dry kibble requires moisture for digestion. When your dog is not adequately hydrated, the body pulls water from the internal organs to digest the kibble and this can lead to the state of mild dehydration. Even if they are drinking throughout the day, the digestion process pulls water from their system after eating.
One of the best and easiest thing you can do as a kibble feeder is HYDRATE YOUR DOGS FOOD!
Adding water to kibble softens it for digestion and hydrates your dog's body systems.
Great options to hydrate kibble include
💧Filtered Water
💧Coconut Water
💧Bone Broth
💧Goat's Milk
💧Decaffeinated Green Tea (aids in cancer prevention)
Quick Tip - you can freeze all of the above in trays or silicone molds and then pop out a cube or two and melt with hot water at meal time!
*Always give your dog access to fresh water at all times
*Always rest your dog after eating any meal. Never exercise your dog immediately after eating due to risk of bloat

Today marks the first day of spring which ultimately means- more life!!
So cheers to spending all of our days outside in nature- our best teacher! And cheers to all of the awesome places & people training takes us!
There’s more to an off leash experience than it just being a “free for all”.
Making sure you have the proper tools to let your dog off leash is essential for so many reasons but the number one reason, being safety.
Creating an environment where both you and your dog are on the same page is key to having a successful experience.
A secure environment for this to happen successfully looks like:
- Your dog is a master at Recall
- Your dog has enough control over their impulses to avoid something they know they’re not supposed to do or go after
- Your dog has gone through recall training & wears an E Collar
- Your dog understands operant conditioning and knows that any undesired behavior will lead to consequence
- Your dog understands commands are non negotiable
- Your dog is able to think for themselves especially in heightened moments
- You have the proper tools and communications skills to address any situation
- You have the proper skills to neutralize hormones in order to facilitate calm behavior
- You have the confidence to advocate for your dog and address a heightened or even “scary” moment.
I can’t stress this enough, not every dog deserve to be off leash in certain areas. Check your surroundings and be able to read the area. Most importantly respect others space and needs.
Lastly, if your dog is unfriendly with other dogs, off leash can still be an option for you as long as:
- Your dog has 100% command consistency
- You are on top of your training and creating an extremely secure environment
- If they need a muzzle, then they wear it at all times
- You are not at an all off leash dog park
- If the area you’re in is not crowded with other dogs or even people.
Moral of the story is that there’s a time and place for everything. Be vigilant, act quickly, be confident in your handling skills and ALWAYS create a safe and secure environment. Happy training
Here’s to playing with the big dogs 🥂
The biggest struggle people have when it comes to dog handling is getting their dogs attention.
Heightened moments that are not corrected almost always lead to undesired behaviors.
Avoid enabling these behaviors by finding your dogs motivation-
Now of course, understanding a dogs body language & how to effectively communicate with them is the most important skill you should have as a dog handler but knowing what your dogs motivation is, is key if you want to get a desired outcome from them.
Motivators are what makes your dog want to do something. It keeps them on track, it increases command consistency and increases their willingness to work.
Also, who doesn’t love a good reward? 😉
Confidence work using the “up up” game. It goes a LONG way!

Dogs are pack animals .. they learn better ina group and will stick together ..here Sonny is passively learning how not to let her puppy nose wander and to follow the pack no matter where they are going ..
When expanding your family, your dogs shouldn’t be making your life any harder. With kids come SO much. New routine, new structure, learning new things, unlearning existing things. Attention turns, etc. When you have dogs that know and understand the “rules of the pack” this introduction period is everything but stressful. Everyone always asks me, “oh how are the dogs with the kids” they are the same. When the kids showed up, they inherently just knew- just like us as parents. It’s integrating your life with your dogs biological needs and training. Operant conditioning is the key to success. My dogs are taught how to make the conscious decision with everything in their life. Just like us. So when it comes to expanding your family, everything comes naturally just as it should. No this is not me just being super hard on my dogs and working them- it’s understanding the importance of human and animal integration. It’s an art and when you master it you become the bridge and everyone wins. It’s just that simple. #dogtraining #trainingwithkids #animalintegration #coexsistence #working #family #balanceddogtraining #rulesofthepack
Okay the extra skin but that little butt wiggle at the end 😍 Note* prong collars are NEVER for playing or off leash. It’s very dangerous for a dog to play while wearing a Prong. We always bring extra flat collars with us so when we do decide to let the dogs off leash, we can switch them out to ensure a fun and safe play and exploration out doors. Happy exploring #offleash #dogtraining #winterfun #workingdogs #friends #mastiffsofinstagram #dogsofinstagram
