On Easter Sunday we welcomed Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail to Little Whiskers. They are being treated for eye infections and at approximately 5-7 days old weigh less than the average newborn kitten. Theyāre fighters and weāre fighting with them.
Help us name our newest intake. š
Welcome Mabel to Little Whiskers
This year we started a new program at Little Whiskers called Misfits and Miracles for special needs kitties. Mabel came to us just todayā¦ She is 8 years old. Mabel has been losing weight and suffering from chronic nasal congestion for several years. A few months ago she developed a head tilt. Her owner was frustrated and overwhelmed by her medical needs and was considering euthanasia. Instead she came to us. Please help us save this cute girl.
Hi everyone! This is snoop dog and heās being fostered in Cool. Heās a bottle baby and was rescued from a field at just a few days old. Sadly he has some health issues and after reviewing his labs we have decided to treat for FIP. On top of that, his front legs are deformed and seem to cause him pain, so we also need X-rays at some point. The rescue is already treating other kittens with FIP and right now we are spending $60.50 a day just on medication š³ Iāve added a donation button to this post and every little bit helps! Even $1! Look at how sweet he isā¦ just adorableš
Excuse the view butā¦ a few minutes into our dayā¦.
This is one of the reasons (or I guess I should say 7) that Iām going insane. š
UPDATE- At the vet today we were told that due to some damage to his spine, the prognosis for recovery is not good. Euthanasia was strongly recommended but thatās not how we do things here. This little guy is only 1.2 lbs and a fighter. Weāre going to do everything we can to fight for him. This isnāt something we undertake lightly. He has to have his bladder expressed 4 times a day, be kept clean, get safe exercise and stimulation, and take medication for infection. But heās part of our family now, and our newest tiny fighter.
Meet Maverick and Goose.
Rescue is hard everyday, but some days people determined to hurt animals make it harder. The black and white kitten was shot in the back last week and is paralyzed from the waist down. He is just a baby and deserves every chance to fight possible so we are going to give it to him. But we NEED your help. Please.
Itās been a long few weeks, but weāre doing the best we can. Hereās a quick peek at a few of our current tiny fighters.

Solo is such a cute girl. She loves to cuddle anytime she sees a soft blanket and is still a tiny little thing.

Shark Update- Shark isnāt letting us down. He continues to live up to his reputation as a medical challenge š¤¦āāļø The vet feels that he has feline gingivostomatitis. More commonly known as stomatitis. Medication, and regular brushing or full mouth extraction are the treatment options. We have decided to try the more conservative route of medication and tooth brushing on the advice of our vet. If we donāt see improvement itās out with the teeth for our boy.
š Shark improves.
Sharkās at the vet... and not so cooperative. š¤¦āāļø We try, weāll one of us tries. š

Itās our birthday!
Lady Gabriella Sacagawea of the Highway 99 Corridor has some pretty exciting news for everyone.
She delivered 4 tiny, healthy kittens on March 31st and is already an excellent mom. Lady Gabs is still a kitten herself and will need a lot of high quality kitten food to be able to nurse her babies. Please help her by shopping our list
