How many of you have congos that are just super chill all the time?

Bit of a long post but I’m going to try to include all the relevant information.

I got one of mine a few years ago from someone who had to go back to work and he started plucking. We have made great progress in that department and even with some setbacks I’m hoping when his feathers grow back this time they will stay.

Anyway, he’s about 6 now and just seems to me he should be far more interested in playing and messing around. Very few toys seem to interest him, but if he could destroy air he would. Majority of the time he just sits wherever I’m at and hangs out or naps. I live alone and go to work early, so when I come home from work I open up the cages and let them out for a few hours and on the weekends they’re out almost all day most of the time.

He’s very smart and learns pretty quickly when I try to teach him something (besides the harness, still won’t get near it). He doesn’t talk or make very much noise at all. He will on occasion whistle various things and sometimes will dance briefly but it’s like he loses interest so fast and then just relaxes and starts grinding his beak.

Vet has said multiple times that he appears to be in great health and a happy bird, but if this is super abnormal I may take him in for some blood testing.

I have two timnehs that I got about 8 months so ago that are 19 and 20, who are also relatively chill but still seem more interested in going around and exploring or playing (for lack of better terms) a bit. He’s always been this way so it isn’t the other birds affecting his mood.

Could it just be that he’s just super lazy? And if so, any tips on getting him more active? I’ve tried short range flights (like from perch to me) to get him a bit of exercise but he will just climb down and walk. Tried giving him toys, things to climb on, foraging toys, new things to inspect, the list goes on. If I didn’t know any better I would think he’s a retired old man
