Took advantage of the fact it was above freezing and sunny today and bred a few does, including the matriarch of the Michigan herd:

Syringa Til’ Death Do Us Part, pictured at 2.5 years old, never tattooed or shown. She has produced very well for us so far from 4 live litters:

This weekend marked our fifth consecutive national and/or convention showing as a partnership and we continue to be amazed by the success our kids have found on the tables, securing BOB and BOSB at each of those five exhibitions. Excited to watch the next generation grow up 💜 can’t wait to see everyone again in KY!!

Cute guy with no coat + is too young to make the trek to Nationals. He will stay here to grow out as a possible senior buck entry for Louisville…if we actually have a judge?

Syringa Fake Friends still looking good at nearly three years old 🍷

He has been the main herd buck in Michigan and will be transitioning back to the western herd later this spring. Earned several BOB/BOS wins at the local level in 2020 and 2022 but has never competed nationally.

Probably the most under utilized herd buck we have:

Syringa Death of a Bachelor 💀

Pictured just shy of 1.5 years old. He was a slow developer so has never been tattooed or shown. Sired two litters for us last year, including producing one of our favorite does who has a lovely topline with excellent color and fur. His first litter of 2023 just hit the ground out of the 2022 ARBA Convention 1st place senior doe.

The weather cooperated enough that I was able to look at rabbits for the first time since Convention today.

This was our favorite junior doe from the Michigan herd but she wasn’t quite ready yet, still lacking a little finish along the sides.

I think she’s ready now 💜

It was great seeing everyone and swapping some of the kids between the herds! Good luck to everyone who took home a Syringa lilac, see you all in Minnesota in May!

This photo of a herd buck popped up in my Snapchat memories from 5 years ago today! We sadly lost him in 2020 but he produced a LOT of beauties for our herd and others. Excited to see how his kids hold up in Reno! See everyone there soon 🙂
