IT'S GIVING TUESDAY 12/3 AND WE NEED YOUR HELP! Did you know that it costs $600+ to raise one HEALTHY baby raccoon?
Did you know that Christina's Critters Wildlife Rehabilitation is the only licensed rehabber in Winnebago County Illinois that STILL accepts raccoon babies and often from other counties because no other rehabbers will take baby raccoons? That $600 is one reason why. Raccoons are hard and expensive to rehab but that doesn't mean they don't deserve a chance to be saved.
This year we rehabbed over 100 raccoons! Crazy I know! Without your financial help it never could have been done!

Safe Haven is pleased to offer free cat and dog food to the community on Saturday, December 7th, at our shelter location.

📅 Distribution Hours: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Please note, we kindly ask that you do not arrive before 9:00 AM as staff may not be available to assist you.

Happy International raccoon appreciation day 🙏❤️🦝
Here are a few pictures of some of the babies from this year, it's been a crazy year rehabbing almost 100 babies!!! We have already done multiple releases and are down to 36 babies to go!! As of now I will be overwintering 10 who are all late season babies (5 of which are still on bottles) 3 of the 10 are transfers from other rehabbers that can not overwinter. So as many of you know I'm crazy busy with the wildlife 24/7....hopefully I will start to be able to post more as my time opens up. This has been a really tough year in many ways, I really wish we had more licensed rehabbers that helped raccoons!

Most the the babies are almost ready for release and I am looking for people who own property that are willing to allow me to release 4 to 6 raccoons on their property. Property must have a water source, trees and natural food sources. If you are willing to provide a safe release sight for some young raccoons or know some one who is please have them PM or text me 815-494-0932 ASAP. Thank you so very much ....I can't continue to help as many babies as I do if I don't have safe release sites. You are not required to do anything for these raccoons other than have the private property with the resources they need to thrive ❤️🦝🙏 THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE!

I'm getting 4 to 10 calls a day for baby squirrels. Most rehabbers are full please follow Lisa's Little Rescue guidelines ❤️
Remember at this time I am ONLY REHABBING RACCOONS. I can give advice or guidance on other wildlife but can not take or treat as I have a full house with raccoons already. ❤️🦝🙏
