PIPOCA FEMALE 5YRS STERILISED

Pipoca is a perfect poppet! She is kind and gentle, and affectionate with everyone she meets. Small enough for any home, she would be the ideal sofa companion, but she also loves her walks and is very easy on the lead. She doesn't pull, or chase other animals, and she gets on well with other dogs. She has a cute thing going with her right ear, which often sticks out sideways as if she is trying to stop a bus! Pipoca is about 12kg and 50cm to the shoulder - a small dog with a big heart. Pipoca is currently in municipal kennels in Tomar, Portugal. Home check applies for UK adoption

This beautiful lady is Eunice, striking a pose for Tongue out Tuesday! She is in the Municipal Kennels in Tomar, Portugal. Thought to be around 7 years old, measuring 51 cm (ca. 20 inches) to the shoulder and weighing 22 kilos. Her frosty face tells a story of experience, not all of it great, despite this she is a gentle girl, good with cats and other dogs and walks well on the lead. She has the most gorgeous kind eyes that are a lovely colour. Eunice has been neutered and vaccinated. For adoption in Portugal or the UK (home check applies).

Guga and Cuca had a walk today and were so brilliant on lead. These two little dogs are very affectionate and enjoy snuggles. Cuca's tail wags continually and Guga rolls over for tummy tickles. Guga came into kennels in May 22 and Cuca came in with 4 pups in June 21.They would both make great family dogs, good with cats, dogs and people. If you're looking for a little dog to shower with love, these two are definitely up for it and would return the favour and more! They are rabies vaccinated, sterilised and ready to start a new life and can be adopted in the UK or here in Portugal. Home checks apply in the UK.

Today we said goodbye to 5 dogs, Cupcake travelling to Belgium, two sisters, Maisie, Muffin and brother Teddy going to live all together in the UK and muma Jade. We were able to raise the funds to get Jade into foster care with an amazing partner in the UK Faye Martin who has already adopted 2 pups from the kennels. Faye has secured a forever home for Jade before she has arrived in the UK. We are so grateful to everyone that donated to get Jade over to the UK, especially Jean Miller 💚 Jade is going to have a wonderful Christmas living by the sea. Thank you to our fosterers that are essential in helping to prepare our dogs for a home life. Thank you to the staff at the municipal kennels who care so beautifully for the dogs and the volunteers who walk the dogs and bathe and groom them. A massive thank you as always to Dra Susana Dias for ensuring the health and well-being of the dogs and for processing the paperwork for the dogs to travel. Thank you to Purrfect pet transport for delivering the dogs happy and safe and of course a massive thank you to our adopters who trust us to match them with their perfect dog, or 2 or 3!
We cannot wait to see lots of photos of the dogs living their best lives.

Sortudo Male 3 years Sterilised

Sortudo is a very much loved dog at the municipal kennels in Tomar, Portugal by the volunteers and staff. He entered the kennels, a shy boy but has blossomed with one-to-one attention, walks and training.
Sortudo was shot in the mouth and there was a visible small hole in the corner of his mouth but he has now had successful surgery to close the hole and remove a couple of broken teeth. Sortudo loves human contact and would absolutely thrive in a loving home. He's a very special boy! Please message us for more information.

This little pup is a surviver that has battled being poorly but is now recovering well. He is 8 weeks old and has become playful and is eating well. He has been under the care of a member of the municipal kennels and staying at their home. He finishes his medication on Monday and we are looking for foster care in the Tomar area that can give him the love and attention needed for him to flourish before we promote him for adoption. No other dogs unfortunately as we don't want to risk him passing on any lingering infection. He has been cleared by the vet, but better safe than sorry. Who needs a puppy in their life. You'll get lots of cuddles!

We are thrilled to get Jacinto adopted to a great family in the UK, with his two sisters. We are taking the sisters into foster care tomorrow and now looking for a fosterer for Jacinto until 25/11. He's an absolute darling little boy weighing less than 10 kilos. We'll cat test him tomorrow. Can anyone offer to care and love him for a few weeks? Today we said goodbye to six dogs from the municipal kennels as they begin their journey to the UK. Benji, adopted from the kennels by Yvonne Wynne also joined the trip as Yvonne heads back to Scotland. Yvonne has been a wonderful supporter and fosterer for the municipal kennel dogs and we will miss her. There were tears and happiness as we said goodbye but we know that our pups are going to live their best lives in loving homes and we look forward to seeing lots of photos!
We are eternally grateful to everyone involved in making this happen. Our fosterers Heather Hawley and Dolores Arge for helping our dogs adjust to home life. Alison Grindley for her wonderful donation of collars, leads and harnesses. Our transporter Purrfect pet transport for all of their help with the mountain of paperwork and caring so much for our dogs on the trip. DogsnHomes for taking 4 of our dogs and finding them the best adopters. Our amazing municipal vet, Dra Susana Dias and her assistant Catarina and all the wonderful people working at the kennels. This couldn't happen without their hard work. Our donaters that support us financially as we prepare dogs for adoption.
So many people are involved in rehoming our dogs and we are forever grateful for all of their help. It's absolutely worth it!
Right, now off to clean my house before I pick up my new foster dogs travelling on the 25th November 😫

We have had an amazing offer from one of our adopters in the UK to provide foster care for Jade in the UK to help increase her chance of UK adoption. She has already adopted one of Jade's puppies.
Super mum Jade came into municipal kennels in Tomar, Portugal a few months ago and gave birth to her pups 2 days later. She was in a poor condition but has recovered and now it's her turn to shine. Not only did she care for her pups but was a foster mum for other little pups. She is very friendly and will benefit from being in a home environment for further assessment.
If you can help with meeting the travel costs to get her to the UK we would be so grateful to be able to give her the opportunity of a wonderful new life. She deserves it!

Jacinta came into municipal kennels in Tomar with his two sisters in June. The sisters are travelling to the UK for adoption in November. Jacinta will miss them, so we want to find him as lovely a home as his sisters are going to. Jacinta is a special boy as he has lost an eye, probably due to an old injury but this does not stop him from being a friendly and playful little boy that loves a cuddle and needs his own family to love.

Ginja is everything that you would want in a great family dog. She is alert, intelligent, gets on with other dogs and cats, good on a lead and loves a cuddle. At just one year old she would be quick to learn. She is a medium size dog, standing 45cm to her shoulder and weighing 14.85K.
Ginja is currently in municipal kennels, Tomar, Portugal and is ready to find a loving home after being brought to kennels in August by the firefighters. She is microchipped, sterilised and has a rabies vaccination. She really is very sweet natured and would make a wonderful companion.

KIKA. FEMALE. 4 yrs 9.15k STERILISED

Kika was picked up from the streets and has been at the municipal kennels in Tomar, Portugal for about a year and a half. She was initially shy with people but Kika has now come out her kennel into the communal area and has blossomed into the happiest, friendliest little girl that rolls on her back for tummy tickles. She's great with cats and other dogs.
Kika tested positive for leishmaniasis which surprised us all as she shows no external symptoms. Kika has had tests for her internal organs and passed with flying colours. She has been treated with a course of daily injections and now just needs half a tablet daily to manage the very low level of leishmaniasis still showing. Leishmaniasis is caused by the sandfly and is not contagious.
We took photos today of a slightly wet Kika. Usually she is more fluffy! She still looks beautiful though.
Kika would love a warm, loving home before it gets cold again and she would be a delightful addition to a family.

Julianna is 5 years old, 44 cm to the shoulder, 39 cm from the base of her neck to the base of her tail. She weighs 9.4 kilos. On the lower end of medium size, she is low energy, loves people and has basic obedience. She hasn't had an easy life but refuses to let that hold her back. She is a cuddle monster and loves to show people how much she loves them after being introduced. Julianna could live as a family dog, calm companion for those who don't want a high energy dog. She will be sterilised before adoption and can travel to the UK, home check required. She would love a home with outside space and regular exercise and, of course, plenty of cuddles. Of course, with training, this can be discouraged and maybe she was just jumping for joy to be out of her kennel.

She is a great natured dog and would love a home with outside space and lots of walks. Message us if you would like to adopt Jade.

A Serra foi para FAT com a Heather Hawley depois de ela e a irmã serem retiradas a um acumulador de animais. A Heather fez a viagem até Hague, na Holanda e entregou a Serra a nova família e vai agora viver feliz junto a uma praia que ela já adora.

Serra went into foster care with Heather Hawley after she and her sister were taken from an animal hoarder. Heather made the trip to Hague in the Netherlands and delivered Serra to the new family and will now live happily next to a beach that she already loves.
