Hope everyone is staying cool during this heat wave! Stay safe, drink plenty of water and offer fans when possible.

Tips to help your horse(s) beat this heat:

• Switch to night turnout for the time being
• Add electrolytes to a bucket of water for them; I offer 2 buckets of fresh water, one with electrolytes and one without
• Notice then sweating? Give them a cold hose down but don't squeegee it off!

Calvin and all the other retirees received nice cold baths today and yesterday to combat the heat. They also have the option of playing in the shallow creek too, which helps ☺️

Hopefully everyone has as peaceful Memorial Day and gets to enjoy the nice weather today.

I will be using today to catch up on my client notes from the past couple weeks and getting new ones scheduled out. I do apologize for the slight delay on some, as show season is definitely in swing and it is hard to keep up sometimes!

I think the horses today would agree that it was a great day for some bodywork! A day of some big yawns and stretches, and some peaceful naps were had afterwards 🥰

Every session is all-inclusive: full body session, assessment, exercises & notes emailed (or texted if you prefer), cold laser, and kinesiology taping when indicated. I am always available to my clients via message or email as well, for any questions they may have. Multi-horse discount available for horses at the same barn don't need to be the same owner.

Very interesting as this highlights some of the same things that my clients tell me about the current state of our equine industry. I hope everyone is staying safe and warm during this freezing cold front in northeast Ohio! Feel free to send me a message or test if your like to get on the schedule in the coming weeks. Limited availability for January and February; schedule opened up until June.

Do you know your show season schedule already? If so, this is a great time to get your horse booked for dates pre-show to help increase performance or post-show to aid in faster recovery. Book ahead and save yourself (and your horse) some of the stress of trying to find a bodyworker last minute ☺️

Some availability left for December for anyone interested, and only a few weekdays available upon request for november. Otherwise, I will be opening my books for scheduling into the new year, so feel free to reach out!

For those not on a set schedule at the moment, I highly recommend doing so for the winter to help keep your horse sound during the cold months. Bodywork is great to help maintain muscle tone even when out of work as well, and to maintain a certain level of elasticity and flexibility, which helps to prevent injuries and strains when they are likely to be slipping or sliding around in cold or muddy conditions.

Buster celebrated his 13th birthday today ❤ We started with a morning of sleeping in a few minutes and getting extra pets and love. Then I had to leave for work and clients for the day so Dad watched him until dinner time. For dinner he got his choice of strip steak, sirloin steak, ground beef or ground chicken (he chose the sirloin), his usual fixings and I managed a walk with him. He's been begging me to go but I haven't been able to due to my surgery. All in all, a great day for him and we'll continue celebrating all weekend ❤
