For Immediate Release:

The Leash Up Team has been watching the updates on COVID-19. Given the ever changing numbers on incubation, and the increased concern over the Delta variant, we are concerned for the welfare of our employees and the clients we serve.

Out of an abundance of caution Leash Up has made the decision to reimplement consultation restriction and increase COVID precautions.

All visits will continue to be by appointment only and will now require a minimum of 24 hour notice.
Please note, during this time we will also be enacting new procedures to include the following;
- Walkers have been instructed that greetings are not to include an offer to shake hands.
- All attendees of intake appointments will be provided hand sanitizer at the door.
- Walkers shoes are to be covered with single use, disposable coverings during intake appointments.
- Safe distances will be maintained between all parties.
- All intake materials and client updates, will be sent electronically, no paper forms will be provided.
- Hand sanitizer will be provided upon completion of the appointment, after shoe coverings are properly disposed of by the walker.
- Home occupants are asked to wipe down any surfaces with disinfectant wipes and thoroughly wash hands with soap and water at the conclusion of the intake appointment, walk, overnight or other visit.
- Each client will be required to answer a COVID questionnaire.

We know this presents an inconvenience for many and are truly sorry. We do want to stress that these decisions were not easy, however we want to be sure we are doing everything possible to protect the health and well being of not only our clients and customers but for the all of the communities we serve.

Please also note, appointments may be refused or canceled at any time, for any reason and our precautionary procedures are subject to change without notice.
