1 full bred Bedlington.
2 x 3/4 greyhound 1/4 Bedlington 7 weeks.
All Dog pups.
The beddy is a few weeks older hence the size difference and being more forward.
These will be great all-round lurchers.
We don't breed Bedlington Whippets they aren't my thing but I think one of these last pups will be a bigger stronger version of one with a broken coat so here's a chance to get a smaller fast and gritty Kespole Bedlington lurcher.
3/4 greyhounds 1/4 Bedlington pups changing every day.
Slightly older last remaining Bedlington pup in with them for company as they are all weaned and independent.
2 black dogs ready to make someone fantastic future lurchers.
Excuse the backing track but when you keep a high drive Mali Herder it's kind of the sound track to your life certainly every time anyone steps foot in the yard but... someone's got to watch the fort.
Kespole chaos x Angel litter
Kespole 3/4 greyhound 1/4 Bedlington.
Coming along nicely.
2 black dog pups here.
Be broken coated all rounders.
The last of Kespole x Brownie saluki bull lurcher pups was collected for his new working life in the North West this morning.
2 stayed to be run on and remaining 5 have gone to working dog men.
Best of luck in the future I have high hopes for these lot especially how Hazel's previous dog pup we kept back is progressing in his first proper season in his work, he's looking like he could be the real slim shady.
Good saluki bull greyhound lurchers are very very thin on the ground iv found over the last few years of looking for a stud dog for some reason and if I'd guess it's that you need to work them hard and they have to be competent at a lot of different disciplines of lurcher work.
At 8 years old Hazel has been that lurcher you can pull out of a pen and put on the field doing whatever someone wanted to do obviously including working alongside Bedlingtons.
Anyone who knows anything about the history of Bull greyhounds in this country knows Brownies line of dogs and I'm over the moon that he allowed me to use his 1/8th saluki dog Ruben over her.
Half these are staying in the family to test including my b*itch to carry on the line I've had since the start of the century!
A real all-round lurcher.
Supervised socialisation is important with both children animals and different age dogs in order for a pup to learn manners and respect.
7 week old Bedlington terrier female pup, lovely stamp very outgoing and forward.
Why cross a Bedlington to a greyhound?
Why breed lurchers?
This is a great clip that shows what I feel are the benefits of the lurcher as a working companion.
Angel is an ex racing greyhound and as you can see by the fur missing on her legs loves nothing more than just laying and doing nothing, perfect for a dog developed to have a short but blistering run a handful of times in a day when used for either organised coursing or racing and the rest of the time laying in the dry.
Her 6 month old daughter has a very different job description....
A Kespole first cross is bred with a coat that holds off the harshest of weather repels the roughest of cover and has the drive to keep working in those conditions all day or night long if required, they aren't as tall as the greyhound and nothing can match thier speed but obviously both bigger and faster than it's Bedlington father.
Iv not seen Bedlington crosses with the heart and drive that my dog Bear produces when put to a greyhound.
Personally speaking I don't like the Bedlington whippet hybrid as if you get a small one they are little more useful than a long legged terrier and lacking speed due to its lack of stride length tend to be prone to yap in frustration in the field, so I don't produce them, Bare will produce as good a Bedlington whippet as you'll find but they won't be a whippet of mine.
I am looking at producing some 1/4 Bedlington 3/4 Greyhounds in the future using a Kespole 1st cross studs as there quite a few proving game and useful in the field this should produce a slightly bigger lurcher but still have the durability and determination of the Bedlingtons character and a less fine coat.
He has a nice shape about this young dog long back, strong and a good jacket to match.
He will make someone a fine lurcher next season.
A real working lurcher opportunity for someone here.
I'm not overly fussed if the bit*ch stays or goes that's the confidence I have in these Bedlington x Greyhounds, Iv plenty of stock on.
Going to be a very rough coated dog this with a jacket that will withstand the worst of british weather.
Some of the team and the two remaining Bedlington greyhounds learning some manors from the older dogs.
Full of spirit this brother and sister.
The dogs coat is like a Bedlingtons at this age a real rough un and the b*itch will make a lovely racey first cross with a broken jacket.
Just short of 8 weeks now and really super outgoing characters.
I don't advertise my pups on pet platforms I don't produce many Bedlingtons and Lurchers so when I do I try my up most to make sure they are going somewhere they are going to do what they've been bred for.
Looking for a genuine working lurcher for autumn/winter 24 ?
