Kitten Alert!!! These two sweeties were found abandoned without their mother today. Thank you to the kind person who rescued them and brought them in. More information after the vet is done with them.

No drama with this chickens this morning.

Update number 2 on Penelope and Elaine. We cut the barrier down by half today and everyone ignored the change, we seem to be moving in the right direction. Stay tuned the next step is removing the extra barrier. We want to introduce these traumatize ladies nice and slow to as much conflict as possible for them.

Update: home again. My husband Sardar is home from the hospital. He is on bed rest, until we see the specialist. They are not sure what is wrong with his heart yet. We are hoping the specialist will be able to tell us more. Until then he will be resting and hanging out on social media. Be sure to say hi.

Thank you for all the well wishes for his fast recovery.

I will be managing the sanctuary and taking care of the animals. So lots more cute animal videos to come. Thanks again everyone!

We took Flash to the Cherry Blossom festival in Washington DC just before the pandemic and he loved it. He is such a good boy.

Update: Elaine and Penelope are out of quarantine. They were nervous and very protective of their food - most likely due to living with scarce resources and past trauma.

Video Audio: when we introduced them to the hens in the flock today there was a bit of drama. We added an additional barrier, so they could all get to know each other without any danger.
