This boy did not deserve to die.

The first ever foster to die in my care passed away this morning at 10 weeks old. He was skin and bone with a worm burden so bad they literally sucked the life from him. Even after 2 days and nights of specialist vet care, the damage was already done.

We as humans failed him, he was given one chance to live and we fu**ed that up for him. Him and so many others die suffering daily because humans are selfish c***s.

Someone, somewhere didn’t desex his mum, or his mums mum because they thought “we want her to experience pregnancy” or didn’t desex his dad, or his dads dad because “it would take away his manhood.”

Shut the f**k up.
Shut the f**k up and desex your f**king pets.

Advocate for desexing and encourage people you know to desex their pets so no more have to suffer like this innocent guy did.

Before anyone asks:
No I’m not ok, yes I will continue to rescue, and yes my passion makes me sad and mad continuously but I don’t care and I will always continue to advocate for desexing of animals.

Merry f**king Christmas

I don’t care if you ignore everything else I say for the rest of my life, just please desex your cats.

‼️ IMPORTANT MESSAGE‼️ Please Save & Share.
Sadly with yet another kitten season, we want people to remind people of the Do’s & Dont’s so we can save more lives.

It is really important to be able to accurately age kittens & as such the care they require.

If you find kittens & are concerned for their wellbeing, we always ask if eyes are open, ears are up, wobbling or running & how big they are in comparison to your hand – also important to know in terms of people rehoming or giving away kittens!

It is so important to where possible keep mums & babies together for survival & development & of course to stop the cycle & arrange for the desexing & possible rehoming of Mum & better Dad.

‼️Always try to contact us prior to touching, moving kittens etc - unless they are in IMMEDIATE danger, ill or injured.‼️

❌ The top row:
The Teeny Tinies - should NEVER be touched or moved unless in IMMEDIATE danger, ill or injured OR if after watching from a distance a mummy cat hasn’t been for several hours or longer.
If mum does return try not to disturb her, but to watch where she goes & maybe leave some food.
Contact Us or another reputable rescue.

⭕ The middle row:
The Teeny Weenies - the same rules as Teeny Tines above ⤴️
Although chances of survival are a little better (with the correct & specialised care)
Contact Us or another reputable rescue.

✔️ The bottom row:
The Big Kids Club - are in a better position to survive without a mum if in specialised care, but need to be socialised with other kittens & people (carefully) to ensure they can be the best cats they can be.
Contact Us or another reputable rescue.

Clearly if there are cats & kittens abandoned, neglected & without proper food, shelter etc, the sooner they come into care the better for them all in terms of health & socialisation – but it is a very fine balancing act.

🚨 The Animal Welfare Act (Companion Cats) Minimum Standards do state that kittens should remain with queen/mum until at least 8 weeks - except where they have been orphaned & cannot be fostered to another queen/mum or where a vet has deemed it necessary they be removed from the queen/mum. The recommended best practice is 10 weeks.

📢 If you see kittens "For Sale/ Free to a good home" who have blue eyes etc, they are likley too young (unless they are of a certain breed) Please let us know so we can try to assist.

You can get us on: ☎ 027 901 2244 📧 [email protected] or via 📩FB message

Hope this helps a little.

Jet and Daisy's adoption profile! Who remembers them??

ADOPTED 😻

Jet and Daisy - male and female, approx 5 months old, fostered in Glenfield - ready now

TO BE ADOPTED TOGETHER

Jet and Daisy came from different backgrounds but have been besties ever since meeting in the foster home. They are the stars of KittenClubhouse (foster live stream) and can always be seen playing and cuddling together. Daisy is very outgoing and loves attention. She is the first to sit on her foster mum's lap. Jet is timid and takes time to warm up to people but once he’s comfortable, he is a beautiful snuggly boy. Due to Jet's nature they would do best in a quiet home without young children or other animals.

Video of them snuggling can be seen here: https://clips.twitch.tv/DrabLuckyCheddarDendiFace-yGDZ6ZurI5ahqei8

Jet and Daisy are desexed, microchipped and registered, and vaccinated. Please drop us a message if you'd like to meet them, adoption fee and criteria apply.

Mr. Popular AKA Chuck's adoption profile. He was definitely a vibe!

ADOPTED 😻

Chuck - male, approx 4 months old, fostered in Glenfield - ready now

Chuck Berry is a sweet boy who was found at a Strawberry farm. He had cat flu when he arrived with us but has recovered and ready for his forever home. He is the fan favourite of the KittenClubhouse (foster live stream) viewers. Chuck is often seen playing by himself while the other kittens are sleeping. He is lovely but may be a bit shy to begin with, so may do better in a home without young children and other animals.

Chuck is desexed, microchipped and registered and had his first vaccinations. Please drop us a message if you'd like to meet him, adoption fee and criteria apply.

ADOPTED 😻

Odin - male, approx 5 months old, fostered in Glenfield- ready now

TO BE ADOPTED WITH BROTHER CHESTER

Odin and brother chester are bonded brothers and will be adopted together. Both boys are very smoochy - Chester goes straight for his foster mum’s lap, and Odin demands cuddles! They are shy at first, especially Odin, so will need someone who is patient enough to give them a chance. Preferably a home without young children or other animals. Once settled they will be the loveliest boys and make a great addition to the family!

Odin is named due to a horribly large eye ulcer he had when he first arrived with us. It was touch and go and there was a thought he may have to lose the eye but through lots of love and care the eye was saved and it doesn’t affect him at all. They both have just recovered from having ringworm (a fungal skin infection).

Odin is desexed, microchipped and registered and had his first vaccinations. Please drop us a message if you'd like to meet him and brother Chester, adoption fee and criteria apply.
