Dogs who are scared of thunder and noise can benefit from masking, "canceling," with fans, noise machines, or certain types of music.

Today, April 30 is National Therapy Dog Day.

You have brought a world of joy and support to millions of seniors and children over our past 24 years.
We celebrate you!!!!
It is also National Adopt a Shelter Dog Day. The majority of our therapy dogs are adoptees. Thank for saving a life and adopting.

HAPPY 14TH BIRTHDAY
PRECIOUS PAPILLION
Today is Precious's 14th birthday. Precious has been a service/EMSD for 13 years. She was trained and certified by us, Helping Paws. She has worked at almost all of our Triangle area facilities. Even at 14 she is still doing her service dog duties with expert skill.
Happy Birthday, Precious and thank you for your many years of service.

GREAT GLOBAL GREYHOUND/SIGHTHOUND WALK

Join us this Sunday, September 25th at 10am for the Great Global Greyhound Walk (GGGW). Three GFNC walk locations:
• CHARLOTTE: Freedom Park. Parking at Lilac Rd and Cumberland Ave. Meet in grassy area near restrooms. Walk Leader: Jennifer Davis.
• TRIANGLE: Apex Community Park, 2200 Laura Duncan Road, Apex, NC. Drive to the end of the road and park and meet at the entrance to the greenway. Walk Leader: Kris Murgas.
• WILMINGTON: Long Leaf Park. Meet at the Splashpad and picnic shelter #5 parking lot. Walk Leader: Liz Smith.
This year’s theme for the GGGW is RED, so plan to wear something red if you can!
