Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our beloved little Wilhelmina. She was always happy, affectionate, playful and silly. If anyone visited us here you probably would have seen her digging maniacally on the floor out of sheer happiness and exuberance. It is a quieter, more subdued, and sadder house now. We are very sorry to announce that Ace passed away last night due to a bowel obstruction. Ace was a funny, energetic little guy who sired several amazing litters of puppies, including our own Wilhelmina and Nadia. (He was also dad to: Gunner (RIP), Callie, Juno, Mia, Jasmine, Delilah, Dasch, Maggie, Howie, Penny, Calvin, Newfie, and Dexter.) Our condolences go out to Ace's "parents", Mary and Scott. Thank you for taking such amazing care of him all these years!!

Since the pandemic started I have been receiving a very high number of inquiries about getting puppies from us. Just to be clear, ***WE ARE RETIRED FROM BREEDING NOW*** and have no plans on breeding again.

It has been a heartbreaking day for Kirk and I as we had to put our little Sabian down. She was the one who started all the dachshund craziness. She was 17 and 4 months old. We will always miss and love her

Today is Sabian"s 17th birthday! The poor thing has dementia now so it means she doesn't get left alone for very long, gets homemade meals, and lots of escorted trips outside to do her business. She's still our special little girl!

Our little Jasprite is in surgery now getting rocks removed from her stomach and intestines. :( How does one keep dogs from chewing rocks when they have free rein of the backyard during the day? Sigh.

I received some sad news today: Churchview Frankie passed away this morning from IVDD complications. He was from our first litter and would have been 12 later this year. He is predeceased by siblings Waylon and Chloe, and Nixie. Sympathies to his human parents, Mary and Scott, and doggie brother, Ace. :(
